auto flower germination problem please help! new grower!

I got my autoflower seeds a few days ago and decided to germinate them. I think i overwet a paper towel and put them in there. after 12 hours i checked. nothing. 24 still nothing and decided to take one out. I get a square of paper towel, wet it and put it in the middle and did the same to cover it? what am i doing wrong!!!!!???I have it in a dark room right over the warm air vent.

That is how I do it, have a little more patience, I have had seeds take almost a week to crack and have had some crack almost overnight. Don't worry yet.

ya im worrying so much >.< mostly from anxiety..plus i don't wanna ruin my seeds you know...hey do you have any places you put seeds..?

i soak them in water fro 24 hours then the good ones sink...then put them in a paper towel for 12-24 hours more till i see a root, then into dirt...they are up in 2/3 days

What do you mean by put them? When I have my seeds in my wet papertowel I just out them in a ziploc bag and throw them on top of my fridge or in the cupboard above my stove.

ehhh just to move them from the water to wet paper towel.....its not really a technical term haha

i just germed a couple myself and did the same thing as you only difference i used a hort heat mat, they cracked in 12 hours. Of course you must have fresh reliable seeds.

Yep some just take longer to sprout, I just germed a Just Jack, an AK47 and a Low Widow all auto's in the same wet paper towel in a freezer bag shoved in a kitchen cupboard. When I checked them after 48 hours the Just Jack had a 10mm root tip but nothing on other 2, next day (72 hours) the AK47 had a root but it was 2 days later before the Low Widow started to sprout. Patience is key.

Im an Uber noob at all this growing lark! I put my 1st ever seed in a paper towel about 15 hours ago.. I just wana have a peek and see if its worked, but i darent :( haha

it wont have done anything yet, but ya can look all ya like...wont make any diffrence

Peek away. Most people check every 12 hours or so after 24 hours. You don't want to let a seed root into a towel for a whole day!
