Auto-Flower???

ive been reading about some new seeds immma get and it said they sutowflower and finish 6 weeks after what does this AUTO-FLOWER mean?????

anybody???? got an idea of what it means

Auto-Flower means the plant will flower regardless of light schedule. It is genetically engineered to grow quickly. You cannot clone an autoflowering plant for obvious reasons. However, they finish pretty quick in terms of seed to harvest.

auto flower means even if you have them on 24 hr light cycle they are going to auto-flower when the plant is ready so light cycle doesnt begin the flowering process. they will go when they are ready. and like is said you cant clone said plant, but youll get weed fast!

ok so does this mean you wouldnt have to put them in to a 12/12 lioght cycle meaning its has a full day of light meaning faster thicker buds?????

all the people b4 ii are right on the bullseye with the autoflowering thing...but when you do your light schedule with them seeds...ii heard its best to put them on 18/6 they need a lil darkness for rest purposes the plants done this away were higher yeilding from what iive seen and heard...

ahh i was wondering what light schedule i should do since i am doing a couple of different auto-flowering types,and guess the answer is 18/6,oh and they do not grow very tall at all,makeing them excellent for those stealthy grow's or just short on height setup's,thought i would add that lol

I was reading on a website that the best light schedule for an autoflower is 20/4. I am also going to start a PH with autoflowers in a small stealth cab since they grow so damn fast I am going to have like 3 or 4 on a perpetual harvest. I dont smoke that much but I feel that I can get a pretty damn good stash goin with those autoflowerers.

can someone make sure i am getting this right because i had the same question. you just plant the seed and leave it on a schedule like 18/6 for its whole life and it will pretty much do the rest itself?

yes if you leave them on 18/6 they do everything

however be ready because they are some of the strongest smelling flowers ive seen in a while... they are perfect for small grows if you have a very good system to get rid of the smell

18/6 is best for these LR crosses, i grow alot of them and they really enjoy the 6 hrs dark...I have a seperate room for my LR2 hybrids that stops on 18/6,
But if you have a seperate flowering room/area for your other plants they can go in there on 12/12 after 4wks without any significant loss in yield.
i do that all of the time.
and yup the dieselryders do stink. i got some beans to test a while back and they were def more pungent than the previous joint Dr LR offerings.

make sure you germinate the seed first before you plant it! but yes just plant the seed and leave it on a schedule like 18/6 or 20/4 (i think 18/6 is better but its all personal preference)

18/6 is what the Joint Dr recommends... when i go to try these puppies i will change my veg room to use that schedule..

frosty, you sound like you have tried a few of these... i was thinking on giving the dieselryders a shot and then i saw the auto ak47... any experience with those?

which is your favorite auto and why?

yup i tried the LR strains when they first came out, as i was keen to make my own hybrids.
I got some D-ryders to test a few months back, and they grow real nice without too many hassles.
seemed to max out at 20" ish.
2 distinct phenos, either quite leggy or real squat plants, never seem to get any other variations.
same as the other LR strains they will show sex around 17+days for males and 22+ days for fems.
The auto AK from lowlife is real nice too. i think i'd go for auto ak rather than the D-ryder..altho its a close call...
D-ryders are easy to grow, dont like too many nutes or hot soil...They can take moderate levels of bloom nutes and love molasses.
Ph fluctuation doesnt bother them too much, and they are reasonably resilient to stress, unless you really fuck about with them/lights etc.
2-3L pots is ample for plants under CFLs - 250w hps...higher wattage setups will prolly need 3-5L pots...Depth is the key with LRs and LR crosses, they like to dive deep.
ideal min pot depth 6-8"

Diesel ryders do smell very strong. so yo will need some extraction n filter if you gotta keep it on the DL, or at the very least an ionizer.
Auto AK reeks and air filtration is important.

My favorite auto is my own current strain, thats ECSD x LR2.
Its a decent yielder, most plants have a real sweet citrus smell with a hint of diesel, some smell like pure ecsd with a hint of citrus, and i get a few that stink like cat piss every now n then.
I'm currently workin on another addition to the mix..I'm waiting to pollinate some Northern Lights special with ECSD x LR pollen. then i get the fun part of inbreeding the things

yeah, i have to admit, part of the appeal to the auto's is the playing with them

maybe someday i will get to the point where i can start really playing mad scientist and doing some crosses.

go with them theyre fun,if ur lucky u will get a great harvest.i just finished harvesting my lr2 and got a total of 2.03oz wet so i will get an oz an a quarter dry,wich i was expecting 25g but i will get 35dry.use the right amount of cfls and u will get a great yeild,u dont need an hps,i used 1 125w cfl 6500k.

I use 18/6 and it worked great i've heard of others using 24 hours of light but i like to give my plants a dark period oh and i gotta say lowryders are awesome

wow nice thnx for the info really makes me wnat to grow those ill juss use alot of 64 watt cfl's and 42 watts
