Auto-Flowering Dwarf Plants

Have any of you pros (or nubes) ever hear of Auto-Flowering Dwarf plants. I'm thinking of ordering seeds and ran across this type of seed strain. I'm just looking for some input from anyone else who's heard of it. How good is the yield, do they flower at 24/0 or do I still have to go to 12/12? ANY replies are appreciated. Thanks ;-)

I'm currently growing Lowryder 2 which is an autoflowering dwarf. Yield wise, they sadly don't compare. If it is yield you're after then just go for a normal one and veg it for a while. You get more bud/time growing with normal ones. They do however have their place in growing. You do not need to switch them to 12/12 to flower, though 18/6 is recommended over 24/0. They're a great plant to stick in with your normal ones whilst vegging (you can stick them under the same light) and have a little bumper crop whilst you're waiting for your normal plants to get to a decent size before putting them into flower. Happy growing!

Back when I first started thinking about growing I thought these would be great for a small stealth growbox. Now im not saying they arent, but it could possibly be cheaper just to raise a mother and take clones.

Now if it MUST be a stealth then this is a great strain for it.

It is best grown at 20/4 throughout its whole life. It auto-flowers at around two weeks and finishes after 2 to 2-1/2 months.

Only problem is, you will need to grow a male and a female and finally pollinate the female for an endless seed supply.

I dont know much on the taste or anything, but I hope I helped!

Good luck on your search!

Thanks for the great info. I didn't expect less from you guys here . That is a good idea growing in conjunction with "normal" plants in the veg stage. After more research and knowing that yield IS important (I have a grow area that isn't heated so I have a shorter season for growth and won't be able to grow constantly to grow a female for cloning...I'll have to grow from seed--DAMN) I will be trying some G13 Northern lights & skunk mix feminized. Specialized for indoor and up to 900g per plant (We'll see about that). Again, great info guys--Thanks :weed::leaf:bongsmilie:bigjoint::joint:

nice bible quote, didnt he also say that he saw that it was good. I think its ridiculous for our government to put in god we trust on our money when they obviously dont feel that way.

They straight up flower at 24/0. But the yield is less than impressive.
They are good for a SOG setup but anything short of 10 plants IMO is
a waste :-P

Ive heard the 900gr per plant was per meter sq for
a SOG setup but idk :-P

LOL--ststepen420, maybe He did say that, but I think it was during his 6 day "let's grow a world" workweek. He said that Genesis-1:29 quote AFTER he made some brownies  and then said that it was good. I pretty much decided not to grow the dwarf stuff. If all it's about is "lazy" growing, I don't need it. My set-up is pretty simple and time for maintenance is only an hour every 2 weeks including watering, other than raising the lights as needed. I just love this set-up.

Thanks LAX Skunky BwS, that is my intention after research and feed back from you fellow growers. I may even keep the males from my first grow so I can get seeds to keep back, but the seeds only last so long from my understanding, so I may have to just keep buying feminized seeds. Thanks for your input, I agree.

im doing the autoflower thing to see what I can come up with...take your first crops best female and male and let is seed. Then take the ones from thos seeds that most resemble the original plants and inbreed from there. Do this 6-8 generations and then take some pollen you saved from the original father and pollinate this 6th or 8th generations best female and then you should be well on your way to stabilizing it a little, not totally from what I understand but most will follow the phenos you chose and I believe an f6 can be considered stabile.
You can also choose other phenos that look like other plants if you start with a hybrid like AK/bluberry or AK/Hindu kush...and see what you can come up with from inbreeding and back crossing to the original father, some more AK some more Hindu...whatever you like...the seeds can with the right breeding program continue on forever depending on how many you get and how you breed them...im very interested in seeing what I pop up with and cant wait til Feb...when I finish seeding out...
The first auto I grew was the white russian and it to me seems just as potent and nice as the normal white strains....just smaller less light needy and less yield but I averaged close to an 3/4 oz per plant, some 14 some 30 but close to 3/4 avg...

You are quite miss-leading with the date you joined rollitup. I would say you have had a little more experience than what one would assume you had from the join date . We need more experience like yours here, I sure need it. However, I don't have the ability to grow year-round. I live in the north and have about a 8 month grow window. I may be able to do a little heating sometime in the future but not at this point. And this cross breeding sounds like it's involved for me at this point with my very low experience. But I will try as I gain more experience---Thanks misterdogman :bigjoint::weed::leaf::joint::joint::joint::joint: those are for you--enjoy.

Yeh, no problem... im no pro either, I still consider myself a noob... there is a wealth of pros here, I still need a lot of help which a couple of really smart peeps have done for me here, actually Born2killspam and mdsurf helped me use what I learned about dog inbreeding to understand plant breeding, but what I know is still limited, I been coming here for a long time and reading I only joined a while ago to read logs...
Read more is my theory youll learn more form reading and researching than asking ?s
But id always try to help if I think I can or id try to find someone who can

True True on the reading. Listen twice as much as talking--2 ears, 1 mouth. Same principle. Thanks again.

Ok heres the deal on AF's. I am no pro or master grower that will confuse you with jibberish.....Just the facts :)

I grow mostly lowryder AK47's I normally get 2 O's DRY per plant under 18/6. Easy to grow once established thru seedling stage. I use flouros for the 1st week then 400w HPS the rest of the way. Grow nute on week 3, 4 and bloom on weeks 5,6,7,8 plain water w/molassas (optional) the last 2 weeks.

Almost ALWAYS 77-80 days from seed to scissors. Taste and smoke is a bit harsh and potency is lacking compared....I would say they are OK at best. Great way to always have stash though. They will definately get you thru the dry periods. If they were that good you would have seen them in HT top 10 list last month.

I normally have one going during my normal strains flowering time.

I hope this helps. One thing about AF's...THEY ARE FUN TO GROW!!

I've grown it afew times with good results. Maybe execpt for this last one. I'm currently on week 12 and the stock I bought. I even had to force flower and still 6 weeks to go? It sure wasn't the auto flowering stuff I got from a different vender. Live, learn I guess. I know one thing I'll never get Lowrider from these people again. Sad, because I have bought seed stock from them before with good results. And I wanted finished stuff for stocking stuffers. I understand alot go with the 24/7 cycle, I went with the same I always use 18/6, and I got decent yields. I've even got a full oz on one nice one. I wood say go for it for anyone who is in a hurry and has small space or limited light. They few I got going now are under a 250 HPS light. I started them under HO flourecents. The first 2 trips I grew I started and finished under the flour's. Well Good Luck with whatever you do. Stay Down, Wood
