Auto-flowering seeds?

I'm going with Dark Devil or Blue Cheese auto-flowers and FFOF soil, Fox Farm Big Bloom, Fox Farm Happy Frog Fruit and flower, 5 Cfl's 2700k and 1 HPS lights. Should that be good? I also heard that the FFOF soil is usually good enough.

I also heard if you're not good in transplanting then just put it in a 3 gallon pot and let her do her thing. Is that true?

After my current grow, I will definitely be able to answer the question does transplanting auto really stunt them? Most of my autos will start out in solo cups for a few weeks then be moved to the ground or their final bucket. I do have a few that i started out in their final container. Only time will tell.

How are they doing?

I dropped the first group on 4/20 and they are starting to sprout now. I started the second group a few days ago, so they should hopefully break ground soon. Link in I in signature.

put a handful of seed starter about the size of a party cup where you are going to plant you seed in your 3 gal or what ever size pot and just use a spray bottle to water just the seed starter by the time it grows out of the seed starter it will be able to handle the final soil a bit better doing this helps identify nute sensitive pheno's early

and the spray bottle watering keeps you from water loggin the soil
nothing stunts a plant faster then sitting in water constantly when its larger it can handle it but a seedling in a drenched 3 or 5 gal may never recover
i start with a spray bottle then like a 1/4 of a party cup after a couple weeks 1/2 a party cup etc etc after preflower i might water until run off

I'll keep that in mind, brotha... I had my plant in flower for two days and there are greenish like strings protruding from the pre-flowers... Does anyone know what they are?

I was going to say use at least 150 true watts but you said you ordered a HPS so you should be good. I like the suggestion to use seed starter where the seed is planted, you could also use the happy frog without any problem imo. Fill the bottom half of the pot with ffof and the top with happy frog. They will be good for 4-6 weeks but will need some nutes after that just use something relatively balanced like GH flora nova at 4-8-7.

You can transplant them one time imo, just make sure not to stress them. I use a solo cup for the first 2 weeks or so before going to a 3 gal. Use the cup to form the hole they will go into then take the plant out and it will drop right into a perfectly sized hole with minimal stress.

Is this a good light to use? Feit electric 75 watt 120 volt

Halogen lights should be avoided based on what I have read over the years. Can't remember if it was a heat, light spectrum or what issue. Go with 100-150 true watts of CFL or flourescent or go HPS. There are other options like LED but I don't know enough about them to comment.

Can you give me a link for cfl's 100-150, I can't seem to find them anywhere?

The total wattage should be in that range but not necessarily from one bulb. With CFLs there is very little light penetration so they need to be close. For this reason it is better to use multiple bulbs placed around each plant. You could use 6 23 watt bulbs like these: http://www.amazon.com/Sylvania-29490-23-watt-Twist-Light/dp/B000V77B4K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398811425&sr=8-1&keywords=23+watt+cfl

But the 100+ watt recommendation is per plant... not sure how many you are planning? If one or two the CFLs could be ok but I would highly recommend a HPS light for 3 or more plants. It is just the better choice all around. They do put out some heat so you will need more ventilation etc. A 400 HPS should be good for 3 or 4 plants. Another option would be to get a 150 or 250 HPS and use the CFLs as supplemental lighting. Really depends on your space, number of plants, and how well you think you can manage the heat any light will put off.

If budget is an issue I would go with a 150 HPS and some supplemental CFLs

Here is a couple examples of HPS lights.
