Hey, thanks for checking the grow out.very nice grow. so the afgan kush isnt auto flower like the others it starts automatically at week 8 or do u have to change the light? i have heard of that from some other threads seems like thats a problem i also like short plants so what i do is i grow some lowryers inside in the winter (ak47xlowryder 2) then in the summer i wait to grow untill mid july so my plants stay short and conceled.
Sounds good, big grow kushy. Good luckhey big raw. i decided to go wit 10 autos per tent under 600 watts 4 each set of 10. i got 10 fem lowlife auto ak and i have 10 blueryder an 10 diesel ryder
Thanks for stopping in, wish me luck!i've heard some cool stuff about these auto flowers, i'm subscribed. i want to see this one through to see if i go in that direction next time.
Thanks man, I'm tryin. I think you can induce the flowering but I'm not sure. All of the cases I've seen is when people have been growing the plant for a long time and then they have to induce it bc it's not blooming...I don't know if the plant just takes forever to finally flower or you could induce 12/12 after the 8 wks or what...I guess I won't know anyway until my other plants are done bc I got the light on 18/6. If she doesn't want to flower by then i might wind up trying the 12/12. Thanks for hangin out man, i guess we'll learn something new together..yeah man they still look good and for the afghan kush do u know if u can induce flowering or does it still go by age? either way u will have the room after the real lowryders are done and that plant will be monsterous so that will be a nice little present after all of your others are done. well awsome grow keep us updated.
Yep...that's why I gottem...Since I got my new setup I wanted to get a new crop done quick so I could grow a regular crop after during the winter. Just if i would have known the Afghan ryder was different compared to the other lowryder/ruderalis plants...Good thing is that I can keep it goin and flower it when I got new plants started under 18/6.i found this little tidbit about the auto flower sounds pretty damn convenient.
So what is auto-flowering? Auto-flowering characteristic grants a cannabis plant the ability to completely flower without the need for reduction of day-light hours; in turn, eliminating the need for a timer. It will grow consistently well and finish under 24 hours of light - from sprouting to harvest - in eight weeks, although you can achieve similar results with 18 hours of light per day; if you like to give your room time to cool down, for example. The point is, with Lowryder, there is no need for a change in the light period to induce flowering, nor is it necessary to have separate vegetative and flowering rooms!
Time for an update...Day 40 and things have changed quite a bit.
Roadrunner is 24in tall..looks stretched but there are bud sites everywhere. She went crazy once she started flowering and hasn't stopped. All the side branches are almost as tall as the top so there are gonna be some colas..She has had some probs with some of her leaves but it hasn't effected the way shes been growin for sure.
The Easy Ryder I'm excited about. She's only 10 or so inches tall but smells very spicy and the bud formation is very dense it seems like. Just gave her an upped dose of Maxibloom along with the Roadrunner.
The Afghan Kush Ryder is still growin like crazy and has reached 16in. Don't know exactlly when she's gonna start flowering, but I'm nervous shes gonna hawg up the tent! I can see this one being a huge yielder for sure. Not what I planned for..as you know by now..but it will be nice to have staggered harvests. I could start something new in there too, when the other autos are done. I have a California Hash Plant seed from Dinafem that I'll prob try next.
Sweet, well have another grow to follow together. I can't stop looking at all the diff strains out there. It's hard not to buy a bunch!Lookin Great! Raw J! LOL I am going to be growing my Cali Hash plants next also. only 45-55 days flower time cant beat that. Also I hear they have a good yield.
Keep us updated!!
