Auto-Watering soulution

I was wondering what the best solution for autowatering plants outdoors would be. The place im lookin to grow next spring is about 1hr 15mins away so i cant water every day. Also, how much water does each plant even need.


Im looking to do about 40 autoflowering strains that include ak47, dieselryder, white dwarf, white russian, and the autoak47xhindu kush cross. Do you think that is too many just for personal use? I might do a little selling but i mainly just want to have a lot of bud in different varieties that will last a long time, since im goin to college next year and if i had a ton of bud id save a shit ton of money and have dank shit.

since there is no electricity your kinda limited to gravity techniques something you could try is haveing a resevoir four feet off the ground and have a 1/2 inch hose then you can use only a few drippers per 1/2 inch line because it doesnt have that much force

I really wouldint recomend drippers as they will plug extremely easy, and keeping the res 100% clean will be near imposible. What i would do is just use spagety line and a garden soloniod timmer that run on batteries.

How would you set that up- what materials are needed

Would a wicking system be sufficient?

what is a wicking system? do you think that the plants would survive with only the water provided by the rain or would they die? cause im goin to do some autos and also try some regular plants that i will come and harvest before college starts or come back during a break and get it.
