Thanks blackcoupe, i need the reassurance because i hardly notice a change in growth since i look at them multiple times a day...yours look better but once they start flowering the ol' 1000 watt hps light will do its job. I'll upload some more pics soon.

Well we cant always see the growth, especially with seedlings. When they arent busy growing above the soil, you can bet those roots are taking off.

Hopefully they are...there are about 4 or 5 nice plants that are starting to take off and get more leaves, while the other four are somewhat smaller. I hope i wasnt watering too much because the soil is moist right by the plant but it seems dry kinda. Im gonna skip watering tonight and see what happens.

id recommend bigger pots aswell, i planted mine directly into 5 litre pots, and the roots started cming out the bottom and the surface, so i transferred them to a 20 litre pot, they get quite wide aswell so u might need a bit more space.:joint:

Thanks man, yeah I think im going to move them in bigger pots when i know the sex of the plants...maybe another week. Should I start them now with the 1000 Watt HPS light? Its got a nice ''30% extra blue spectrum with red spectrum grow light''. I've heard people using it before flowering and i think i might give it a try for an extra boost.

Ah man, guess I didnt realize you already had a 1000watt HPS, FIRE THAT BAD BOY UP! Use it together with the lights your using now but plan ahead for taking care of the rising temps if you havent already done so. 1000w bulbs put off some heat!

Thanks for the tips guys, wow, just looked at my plants and gave them a little water...it looks like roots are already wanting to come out of those 3.5 liter pots on the bottom. They are only 11 full days old or so, im putting up pics, tell me how they look. by the way frisbee, whats the best way to transfer it to another pot? i've done it with 2 liters but not these. Also i think im gonna get fox farm soil and maybe some big bud nutrients for these girls. thanks

not bad man looks good. I have a 2 small plants growing now just some mid grade seeds because I wanted to see what happend. well, after 2 transplants and three weeks almost 4 I can say these babies love the heat but not too much. after the first transplant I turned the fan down on my porch because it was really cold. this summer has sucked. too much humidity. we think that has alot todo with the slow leaf growth. I also have one rooted in just perlite and one in soil mixed with pet moss, and perlite. the one in the soil is doing better. I just moved one to the perlite to see if it can be done. can't wait to see them. Iwould loveto see those Ice trees groiwing.

No idea, probably the other tenant i think...but if we use that much power from the start maybe they wont say anything? And if i cut it down to 18 hours instead of 20 then that saves a little power, but also unplugging everything we arent using. It fucking sucks man, my 1000 watter hps doesnt work, i dont know what to do

i just kind of waited till they had established them selfs in the 5 litre, then squeezed the sides to lossen the soil and carefully lifted the plant out using the base of the stem, all the roots kept the soil intact so there was no mess. ive noticed with my 2 new plants that there not doing aswell under the red spectrum bulb as the last one did under the blue.

They do seem a bit small, although I'm not sure what the problem may be - mabye not enough soil aeration? It looks like kind of muddy sort of earth.

Actually - I just read that you're watering "a little bit each day". You probably shouldn't do this. When you water it should be enough to soak the pot so that the water comes out the bottom. Then let it dry until the soil becomes airy and light before watering again. They say that when you water you can never water too much but you can definitely water too often. A bit each day keep the top soil moist which means the roots aren't growing as much to look for water and that they're underwater more often, meaning they have a harder time trying to get oxygen.

Here's what mine looked like on day 11 0_o

It was under the HPS from the start, mind you - you seem to have the same sort as mine, which is the blue-enhanced HPS and it should be fine to put them under that straight away (so long as your ventilation/temp-control is ok).

Yeah they definitely aren't that big...i messed up. I can't tell you what is exactly wrong with the hps light, it just wont work. Its a new ballast, socket and everything, it just doesnt work. I've tried reinserting the light and everything but nothing works. Its really frustrating.

Hard to say if you're not a sparky - it can be dangerous to try to fix something like an HPS ballast without knowing what you're doing. I guess your only option, really, is just to send it back, if you can.

I'm not sure what your ballast looks like, but you might check just to see if there are any fuses accessible either on the outside off the box via a screw/plug terminal or maybe inside the ballast casing if you can take the cover off of it. Fuses inside are usually right on the mainboard held in clips right near where the mains power comes into the unit. It may just be something as simple as a blown fuse.

Alright so I took some advice and havent been watering as much, only 1 time a day and the plants are looking nice. Maybe I was watering too much, They are all starting to become bushy and taller. There are only a couple of short ones so im hoping im getting a lot of females but we'll see. I'll post some more pics soon.
