Awesome information lennycolas, so it looks like I over did it on the FB. My Big Devils are sitting pretty though in 3 gallon pots. 3 US gallons = 11.3562354 literI just picked up the latest copy of Weed World and theres a 3 page article on Big Devil and Fast Bud.Good info on these strains and a lot of talk about pot size!!!! This piece says the FB likes a pot from 1 to 3 liters. It says the plant does'nt put down a big root system. As for the BDs-they need a 11 liter pot to finish.Thought this might be helpful.
Both of my Fast Buds started flowering at day 14 from seed. and they look to be on track for about 8 weeks.unknownuk420 one of the reasons ur autos took that long is because they where outdoors. My fast bud has started putting out pistols at around 4 weeks indoors. I wonder how much longer its gonna take her to rippen up. Its deff not gonna be a 7 week grow like they say it is or even an 8 week one like my roadrunner grow unless it makes up a lot of ground this next 3 or 4 weeks. She is also pretty tall for being an auto, she has to be over a foot tall now and is almost as big as my special kush and bigger than my early widow... hope that means ill get a good yield..
I honestly wish I would have started my autos in my 3 gallon pots now Thai I look back on it, I lost 3 female autos this grow probably due to being transplanted. This is my first auto grow so I guess I learn from my mistakes, I'm going to transplant my Purple Jem & Flower Power straight into 3 gallon pots. All of my autos strains are females, both Fast Bud & Big Devil. Mine started showing sex late into the second week, even my stressed FB that made it.Yo FOAM.. in my opinion you should have started them straight away into the 3 gallon pots.. I believe that Fast Bud and Big Devil both are femmed. I'd only do those little party cups for reg seeds until sexxed. just my 2 cents.
That article from what you say there was done by either someone who doesnt know how to grow or is using the wrong food or soil. My Fast Bud filled my 1 gallon pot in about a week and a half, and about 4 days after transplant to the 2.5 gallon, had a few roots sticking out of the bottom of that. A small root system, I think not. Goes to show you dont always go by what you read, go by what you have experienced yourself. I could see either of these strains filling a potter 3 gallons or more with roots, if started directly in them. And under the proper growth conditions.I just picked up the latest copy of Weed World and theres a 3 page article on Big Devil and Fast Bud.Good info on these strains and a lot of talk about pot size!!!! I think I might start fox farm nutes on mine as well. I have been using compost teas since the end of the first week. But think I should hit them with something designed specifically for the flowering stage. I will probably just use the Big Bloom along with my compost tea to keep it organic.I honestly wish I would have started my autos in my 3 gallon pots now Thai I look back on it, I lost 3 female autos this grow probably due to being transplanted. I don't have that much to report, just a few small updates this post. They are a month and a few days old so I finally decided to introduce nutes to them. This was my heaviest watering so far for my month old autos, I used a 1/3 of gallon bottled water, my plants always get the best water. I mixed 1tps of FF Grow Big & 1/4th a Tbl of Big Bloom. If everything goes well my next watering I will up the doses a little bit, I wish I would have started earlier now that I think about it, these things grow FAST! Anyway I'll be posting more pictures probably tomorrow, they are starting to bud up slow but nicely.

How are you able to tell how much root you have in your pots? I would suggest you do start using other nutes, I would stay away from using Tiger Bloom on autos. Below are pictures I just took a few minutes ago, these are the first set of pictures since I feed them FF nutes. The first set of pictures are my BD's, pictures 1-4 are 1 BD & pictures 5-8 are the other BD.That article from what you say there was done by either someone who doesnt know how to grow or is using the wrong food or soil. I said I could see the roots come out of the bottom of the potter. When I transplanted from the 1 gallons, they were full of roots. As for using other nutes, I changed my mind, I am going to finish out with this compost tea, that was my original plan, to see how good this product was on its own. I am making stronger teas now. They are budding nicely, not quite as good as yours, but yours get a lot more light than mine do. I dont remember if you are on 18/6 or 20/4 but either way you are getting 35+ hours more light to your plants than I can. So you should be ahead, If my plants got that much light they would be where yours are bud wise. They dont look any bigger than mine, what are your heights? I will measure mine later. How are you able to tell how much root you have in your pots? I would suggest you do start using other nutes
Very nice man, I dont expect that much off of my FB having started them outdoors so early, they do best outside started in may. But Im hoping they surprise the hell out of me. Where yours grown indoors or out? They are inside for those pics so I would imagine thats where they were grown. You indoor guys are lucky you can give them their proper schedule, and man do they reward you for it. Im just glad they are doing what they are doing with what light they do get outside this time of year. GL Foam with the rest of your grow and nice job on your fb gwaziman.hi there here is sum pics of my fast bud at week 5 of flower, i did show you some pics at day 21 i think? well here they are and this is what you should end up with i think im good for a oz per plant good luck.
Thanks for posting some FB pictures to compare, are you sure that is 5 weeks? It looks like I was 5 weeks into flowering, nice job though. I seriously doubt I'll end up with that much bud, an ounce per auto is almost unheard of. If those are actually 5 weeks old it looks like mine are on week 3, mine is going on week 6 in a few days. Anyway props for posting those healthy FB pics, thanks for posting them up!hi there here is sum pics of my fast bud at week 5 of flower, i did show you some pics at day 21 i think? well here they are and this is what you should end up with i think im good for a oz per plant good luck.
A full dose of TB is 2tsp, so your feeding schedule sounds about right using FF. I'm going to try some out next watering for sure, the FF GB & BB nutes really seem to push the autos to flower more. I know 3 inches tall is short right, sounds to me like nice Keep Moving blunt! I'm nit going to LST mine this time around but I plan to my next auto grow. Smart idea using the bucket to give plants more light, I'm curious to how you have your fans setup?I dont know about the denser buds, this is my first auto grow myself, other than the indoor system I am invested in, but they were grown for seed not bud. But I have seen some pretty fat little autos. I will take measurements asap, there are farmers about in my area so I stay away from my girls. I am using a single 45 watt cfl for my only surviving flower power. I put it in a small white bucket to condense the light, it helps a lot. There is a fan blowing air in to keep it cool. So there is 45 watts in like a square foot area, if the area is the big. So it does ok. I believe we started with 1/4 strength tiger bloom, then 1/2 then full strength, which is 2 tsp a gallon for a full dosage if I remember correctly. A 3 inch fast bud huh? Damn that sucks, it should be neat looking if anything, something to break up and toke in one sitting with a few friends, or to yourself. Im glad I decided to LST the fast bud because the lower branches have taken off, they are a bit thicker now. And should give me more weight on the lower stuff than if I had left it alone. It helps the whole plant over all because more leaves get direct sunlight so the can create more energy for the whole plant. I would do this to the big devil but its is a stiff little plant and wont budge. Im not taking any chances with them being into the flowering stage, I dont want any hermies.
Beautiful. Simply beautiful.hi there here is sum pics of my fast bud at week 5 of flower, i did show you some pics at day 21 i think? well here they are and this is what you should end up with i think im good for a oz per plant good luck.
