I have no idea bro. I've been a grower for 24 days. Hell of a lot of fun and hard work, but I don't really know too much yet....

You're probably better off without the scrog at all for autos.

I'd keep this grow as basic as possible and try more advanced techniques once you get a 'vanilla' grow or two under your belt so you know the basics.

I'd just let them run without adding anything on this grow, then try LST on your next few grows. Then when you got experience and know what to expect from the plants try other techniques and methods.

That is an awesome screen-rig. I have been thinking about something like that...

I do think that innerG has a good point about autos....but I am also not too experienced with them.

not too bad for coat hangers, a hot glue gun, and a stoner. Lol

I removed the screen...hopefully I can get a reasonable yield from them.

Is it possible for an experienced grower to give an estimated guess as to the approximate yield based per plant based on how the plants currently look at day 25? (see picture- 5x nirvana short rider autos. I'm doing foliage pro and fox farm big bloom twice per week at 1/2 the normal dose and distilled water (ph = 6) on the other waterings. Any thoughts?

Also, on a couple of the plants, the lower fan leaves are turning yellow. I removed them. Was that an OK move?

Are those buds or pre flowers ? Do they look normal?

Again I've never grown autos, but you may run out of space. Those things are packed in and will probably double in height and width.

I have a 3x3x6 tent and 2 flowering plants almost fills it

If it comes down to it, let the 'keepers' ride and get rid of some weaker ones. You'll be better off with a couple healthy ones than a bunch of plants if they are packed in. Less airflow promotes mold and bad stuff

Hey everybody-

Due to the size constraints of this 2x2x3 ft tent, I have just purchased a new tent that is 4x4x5ft made by iPower and sold by Amazon. Will my 400 watt HPS, 6 in booster fan and scrubber be sufficient for this sized tent? A pic of the tent is attached that I just ordered online. I also got two 12 watt full spectrum LEDs to supplement the 400watt HPS

I'm wondering if this new tent will be big enough for the current plants and then more?

4x4 will give you exponentially more room and the height will help too.

400 is pretty low for 16 sq ft, but if you keep the plants more in the center with some breathing room around the perimeter it should help. Next run you could upgrade to a 600 or 1000 if you want to.

I know it's not exactly the same, but for reference with more mature plants, this is what my 3x3x6 looks like with 2 flowering plants and 2 tiny plants (cuttings of the bigger ones) just starting to flower:

It fills up quick once they start to stretch and flower!

Running a variety of strains presents its own problems too - my headband plant is about 1.5ft shorter than the blueberry even they started at the same time, it just stretched less. I have a milk crate and crap under it to help balance the canopy. With a bunch of plants, you can keep the shorter strains in the center directly under the light and that way you can get the best coverage without burning them.

Thanks for the post man. I also got these two full spectrum 12 watt LED lights to supplement the 400 watt HPS. See pic. I was going to hang them along either side of the HPS to provide a little more light. Not sure if that was a bad purchase or not

More light can't be that bad - make sure you have them at the right distance, I think LEDs can bleach plants when they're too close
