Autoflower Question

So I have some autoflower strains that Im playing around with cuz I was curious. I am using fluorescent lights, (2 34W 24" fluoros and 3 42W CFL's) but Im going to switch them to a 1000w HPS later this week. They are about 7-8 weeks old and super healthy but not a bud in sight, jus a few lonely pistils. I was only planning to "veg" with the fluoros, but I blew a ballast a couple weeks ago, and wont have it back from repair until Friday. So they've been under what I would consider to be less than adequate lighting, they are healthy, just not budding.My question is this, Do you think that just the lack of sufficient lighting alone would cause the plants to not flower? Thanks to you all in advance.

If their decently bred autos they should flower when ready.

If they're poorly bred you may have to put them under 12/12 lighting.

All auto-flowering beans are not created equally. Some breeders do better job than others.

Agreed.....at that age, and no preflowers, you don't have autos..... I've grown autos under simple floros and they sexed at 3 weeks....so the floros aren't causing your problem..... just go on to 12/12 ........

yeah id switch to 12/12 my diesel's flowered in 2/3 weeks

in my experience, my auto strains showed sex at 15 days, and budding in 25, harvesting by day 55-60.

I just think its funny that there's a Nirvana ad in your post, they are Nirvana Northern Light Autos... I was thinking the same thing about the 12/12, but I read varying things about doing this with an auto. But the consensus seems to be that I DON'T have autos, right??
