yea they around 3-5 inches tall and they broke through the 4th of this months ill take and post pics when i get off work later on tonite they do look kinda stretched out how would i go about fixing this problem???
Well it all really depends on your lights. If you're using CFLs, they should be no more than 3 inches (preferably 2) from your plants at ALL TIMES. If you have poor air circulation and temps build up, then you will have to move them back, but after about 6 inches the amount of lumens hitting the plant is seriously diminished with CFLs.
If you have HID lights (ie: High Pressure Sodium or Metal Halide) you will want seedling no more than 12 inches (preferably 10) from your plants.
That being said, the specteum also matter a lot! If you are using CFLs with a low Kelvin rating (ie: 2700) then your plants will stretch almost no matter what. You want a high Kelvin rating (ie: 6500) for the first couple weeks unless using an HPS, but even then a MH bulb works better. The "Soft White" bulbs are usually the 2700K with an orange glow, the "Daylight" bulbs are the higher 5500-6500K bright blue or white bulbs. 5500-6500k for the first 2 weeks, then 2700K till harvest for autoflowering strains if you're using CFLs.
Peace
