Thanks for the help. Could you take a look at my plants? (LR#2)

14 days since it sprouted and the plant looks extremely small still. The leaves are drooping and not a lot of roots are forming. Is this expected from autoflowers, or am I doing something wrong?

specs:
dwc bubbler
4 42W 6500K lights
1 40W 2700K light

800 PPM, constant 5.5-5.6 pH (using general hydroponic (hard water series) + lucas formula)
75-78 temp, res temp is the same (a bit lower)

Your hydro plant looks good. My first grow was a single in a 10 gallon dwc. I looked at my notes and my plant was only 5" tall at day 14. It had rapid growth from 25-35 days from sprout.
Your PPM's are too high. You want to be ~100 ppm I'd say at this point. These plants need prob 1/4 the amount of nutes as recommended.
I'm no professional by any means but the best thing I could tell you if you wanna grow bigger is have excellent aeration, and use a big container.

Thank you so much for the help! I really appreciate it. I have a grow journal but it doesn't receive enough views so I dont get any responses when i need help so I'm suprised as to how much advice I've been given here

I've lowered the ppm slightly to 700 (from 800). I've read how nute burns cause the tips of the leaves to curl and get discolored, but I've been running around 700-800 ppm for a couple of days and I haven't seen symptoms like that... so is it safe to say its not the high ppm that is the problem? By the way, heres a small update on the plants.... it grew a lot in a day. I look forward to the 25-35 day mark!

Well I think I am at the end of my first grow and am real excited about it. Didn't plan on yielding too much my first time out but wanted to learn a lot which I have done. No amount of reading could have given me all the experience I got from growing these ladies out.



So what does everyone think should I wait another week or can I chop now? I am in no hurry to get them down so if everyone thinks it would be best to wait I am going to.

This is my ak 47 autoflower plant, as you can see it looks fucked up, ever since it sprouted it has been fucked up, it has made progress over the past 5 days as u can see from the pictures, the first picture the plant was 7, the last picture was 12 days old, if you know why this occured please enlighten me, and do you think by any chance this deformity could make the plant bushy as fuck?

probably just a mutant. I had one that grew all goofy. I ended up pulling it up because it was growing so slow compared to the healthy ones that were started at the same time. One of them even started to flower while the other one still looked like this. That was right at the two week mark this one was started and photographed at the same time

Hello guys Heres my Cobra and Stoned im happy with the results so far
cobra is cool gettin near end but the Stoned has a we way yet crazy thing is cobra is in a 5litre pot and stoned is less than 3 liters the stoned is near twice the size of cobra (my setup the soil is wormcastings and coirbrick thats it with 5 23watt cfl 19/5 and sun during day with 6.5ph spring water i spray mist my plants when they look thursty twice a day just soaking the top plus i only fed a little bit of nutes here and there its seasol i rarther it be natural only fed them 3 times thats me

Dude, you post half a dozen to a dozen pics of your plants every single day or every other day here. Why don't YOU stop using this thread as your personal grow journal to show off your plants incessantly, nobody else does it. I already suggested about a week ago that you just post a LINK to your JOURNAL so people that are interested can check them out of they want to. If everybody posted all their daily pics of their plants in this thread there'd be a hundred posts a day and a thousand pics, and nobody would read it.

hey auto growers, this is my first time doing autos (ak-47 and WW) got em in cups now, i heard that the roots on most autoflower strains dont like 2 be cramped so im wondering when u guys think i should re-pot theyre on day 8 now and i can see a few little roots in the holes

You are both right. SoA you do post an update probably a bit too often, which imo turns people off to the thread. What you have to realize is that if you start a journal, it will always get less traffic than this thread. The main reason for this is that most people are not here to see YOUR pics in particular. A journal is an awesome way to round up the few good people (myself included) that will follow your progress and give constructive criticism. So give it a shot and toss up a pic update on this thread once a week or so at most to keep more people coming here for overall AF info.

On the other hand, Eronumus you definitely are notorious for having 3 or more posts per page, sometimes back to back. Its just as easy to edit your first thread instead of starting a new one. Kind of like this post, I could have made one to you and one to SoA but this is more efficient and easier to pass by when someone is browsing who doesnt care about our conversation. So many more people lurk here than you see posting, and Id like to try and keep it that way.

Eventually (and I think its already started), this thread will become so clustered that its nothing but a pain to post on and browse through. Maybe one day Ill try and compile some pics and info and start a new one or something, and ask ahead of time that people only post for certain reasons. Of course, if RIU would just toss us an AF subforum we could put this 525+ page mess behind us *hint* *hint*

SoA - Start a journal man, I'd be in. Who cares if only a handful of people get involved. I started mine mainly to document the grow so I have a record of dates, feedings, flowering, etc for next year. When I wanted to show them off I posted pics in threads like this

Eronumus - You know about the multi reply feature? It's that "+ symbol to the right of "reply with quotes." If you check all the posts you want to reply to with quotes then hit the "reply with quotes" tab all the posts you selected will pop up in the reply screen. It's kind of weird to use because you have to look where post stops and the next begins to know where to type to have them all nice and neat. It's kind of a pain in the ass I think that's why a lot of people don't use it.
