Autoflower Thread & Resource Guide

Still not seeing any trichome production on any of the autos ive currently got going. They are Barney's Pineapple express, Greenhouse super critical and an Easy Ryder. They are currently on day 32 from seed, and had all started flowering by day 16. All healthy looking plants, with multiple bud sites which are developing nicely, just no sign of resin.

Anyone had any experience with these strains? When am I likely to see the trichs start appearing?
This is why I want to know. Ta.

Just a rough figure - ... weeks after postive sign of sex???

Snowryder #1 Day 53
Snowryder #2, #4 Day 52

#1 and #4 are the same phenotype. Both have the same coloring, trichome production and smell. They are lighter in color, a bit taller, they have a sweeter smell to them and are covered in frost.

All 3 are very greasey, but #2 has less trichome production overall, the hairs are turning sooner as well.

I decided to give them a heavily diluted molasses and 0-5-0 bat guano tea today.

I'll post pictures later of White Shark #2 when I can attend to her.

Until then here are the baby girls:)

Different times for different strains. In any event, when you're getting close to harvest . . . you will have plenty of trichs. Until then, trying to pin down when trichs start is pointless in my opinion.

Ta dude - appreciate the input. I think I'm just being a bit impatient.

when growing outdoor, specifically in BC, can you expect the harvest times to be roughly as advertised? I've got two himalyan blue diesels, two easy ryders, and one snowryder.

That's one of the things about the auto, it doesn't matter how much light you have they will finish close to as being advertised.
Less light less yield.

Most of the autos I've grown the breeders give two different times. One for indoor and one for outdoor. The outdoor time tends to be a little longer. If I remember correctly, Joint Doctor says 10-11 weeks from seed outdoors. I would definitely give it at least 10. Especially for the "tall" pheno.

Looks like seeds to me!
Did you have any Males around her? or is it a Hermie?
No males around that I know of. If it's a hermie, it's sure a stealthy one, since I've seen no male characteristics otherwise. It would make sense though; the seeds are feminised and this one has been through a lot of stress, with spider mites and snapped stems all 'round.

What would happen if I grew hermie seeds?

Short Stuff Seedbank - Snowryder

Snowryder is a 100% auto flowering strain, a hybrid of Lowryder and Snow White. This strain carries a powerful punch and is without a doubt one of the strongest Auto Flowering strains to date, Heavy Crystaling is a trade mark of snowryder, Trichomes even appear on the males ! The taste and smell of this strain is very similar to Snow white / White widow so is sure to please. Yield is Avarage (15g - 25g under flouros per 6" pot) and the plants stay short (12" - 14") Snowryder is ready to harvest 10 weeks from planting.

Type: Autoflowering indica hybrid
Height: 10 – 15 inches
Harvest: 8-10 weeks from seed
Yield: 18 – 34g per plant
Effect: heavy indica hit
Potency: 8/10

Like Sonar said, they give 2 dates Inside/outside

In my case, I have my Snowyrders under a 4 tube 2' T-5 with blue spectrum and they have also been pollenated for seeds.
With the low light & improper color spectrum, and the fact that I am trying to produce viable seeds, I will let them run for 10 weeks total this round.

I am starting to see amber trichomes, but very little, mostly clear yet.

My project: Crossing a Male Snowryder with a Female White Shark

Strain Lineage / Genealogy / Family Tree

Dutch Quality Seeds - White Shark

The Original (Shark Shock / Great White Shark) is definitely the most successful breed of the late 90`s. It has genetic heritage equally as famous and has been awarded a multitude of cannabis cups under the names of the peace- maker and the great white shark. It has parents that are equally well known as white widow (a brazilian sativa combined with a south Indian hybrid) and Skunk#1.

It is a pleasure to watch this plant grow into a densely compacted white skunk with extreme aromas! Expect a yield indoors of between 500-600 grams per square metre. When cultivating this variety outdoors, then expect a 50-56 day flowering cycle. In the northern hemisphere harvest in September to early October, and in the southern hemisphere in March to early April.

Heritage: Brazilian sativa / South India x Skunk # 1
Preferred medium: Bio and Hydro, Indoors and outdoors/greenhouse
Expected yield: indoor 500-600 g/m2 g/h & outdoor 450-500 g/plant
Flowering period: Expected indoor flowering time is between 40-50 days. In the northern hemisphere it will be finished by Sep. to early Oct.and in the southern hemisphere it will be completed by March to early April.

Recommendations: For the inexperienced growers to the most advanced. Extremely hardy plant and excellent in greenhouses.

I know this probably isn't the right place to ask this, but anyone know what is wrong with my girls?? I
This is happening only with the Easy Ryders. The Lowlife Blueberry are ok. Its day 35 for them.
NEED SOME HELP ASAP PLEASE

I know this is kind of an old post, but I figured if I answered this it would help people with a very common problem..

The issue that you are seeing here is due to over watering.. Classic signs of this are lower leaves yellowing with brown spots. The roots need oxygen as well as water so when they very wet all the time they aren't getting enough oxygen. This is one of the most common mistakes you see with new growers in indoor gardens.. I like to call this over mothering.. We want our babies to grow up big and strong but we end up being over attentive.

i dont agree with it being over watering cause if it was the WHOLE plant whould be sagging.. it looks more like a CAL/MAG and/or MANGANESE deficiency..check this out :http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=11688

I decided to play around with my pineapple express auto's after seeing positive results in the past and with these two so far. I've gone against convention and advice by trimming off some older fan leaves to expose the lower budsites and much more of the main cola. I know it's a no no but there are so many budsites (60 plus per plant aside from top cola) that have developed so many leaves of their own that growth was being bent and twisted in a counter productive way in my eyes and even after the trim these things are bushy to another level, can't see any stem anywhere at 5 weeks. I've heard this decreases overall yield but i wanted to test it out and see what happens. Does anyone have any experience with this strain? Just trying to identify pheno's, one is frosty and swelling already, has always been a week or two ahead of the other, has a very long top cola with minimal lower growth, two lowest nodes have developed 6 tops much like the photo on barney's website, the other has so much side branching and so many tops it looks like a fully decorated christmas tree, not frosty yet, still opening it's sugar leaves, putting up pics tomorrow

I am new so I may be wrong but I am in the final flush on an auto speed devil and I seen this problem with mine at first I thought nitrogen def. but then after reading a LOT more I thought for sure mag. def. so epsom salt and foliar feeding I went...my leaves seemed to burn that way...too much mag. maybe? I am pretty sure my original problem was nute burn/ph issues...plant seems to be doing well now...lots of bud points....I am growing all autos right now and I am not sure of the strains...I have the short stuff mix pack so I should get so real nice goodies!
