Kaigan, I'm growing 5 EasyRider plants from Amsterdam Marijuana Seeds and I believe they are similar to lowryders. Anyways, the THC content is roughly 15% which is more than enough to put your "dick in the dirt." Concerning light schedules, you should go with 18/6 or 20/4 any more than this is a waste of light energy because the plants will go into a 4 hr rest period even if you leave the lights on 24 hr a day. So, you should do 18/6 or 20/4. I'm doing 18/6 because, based on what I've researched, 18/6 is the best schedule. However, you can do 20/4 I suppose. I'm in my first grow so I wouldn't know for sure. At any rate, the plants need some kind of a night or dark period to rest. Further, you don't necessarily get more bud with autos. You can simply grow them quicker than you can with your normal photo plants. On average you can get in two auto grows in the amount of time it takes you to do one normal grow. Normal grows typically use 18/6 for the vegetative state and then switch to 12/12 to induce flowering. Of course, like you stated you do not need to switch to 12/12 with autos. You can keep the light schedule at 18/6 or 20/4 the whole entire time. To do otherwise only reduces your yield. Autos are mainly for people using compact fluorescent lights in small grow spaces such as bedroom closets because they don't take up much room. Normally you only need six square inches of space for an auto which means you could easily fit 10 plants in a 3 ft by 3ft space. You'd be hard pressed to do this with 10 normal plants. On the other hand, normal plants have greater yields because they can get bigger, but, of course, their maturation time is longer. Clearly, autos have their advantages and disadvantages. For me though, they are the right choice because I have limited grow space.
