AutoFlowering MUST READ!!!

Hey guys i just want to clear some things up real quick about Auto's, people for some reason think that auto's will finish just as advertised...WRONG! sure every Auto is said to finish in 8 weeks but trust me every plant has different genes. Sure i do believe that they will finish 60-80 days but once the 8th weeks hits im not expecting that my auto's or any others will be 100% ready for harvest.

Auto plants do what they want to, they flower when they decide and bud when they decide, so all you have to do is give her what she needs and you'll get what you want. Simple, once your plant is mature look at the trichomes and see if they are ready. Big Reason i wrote this thread is because people need to understand that photo period or auto, every plant is different and will grow differently.(unless you clone and keep a very good plant going).

For Ex: im growing big Devils which are alot bigger than my Afghan kush but i wouldnt be suprised if my afghan kush sells out alot fasters than my Shunk smelling big devil.

Man, u need to get a bit more grounded in autos info before you go making blanket statements....ALL breeders...autos AND photos overstate all info as it's usually in reference to ideal environment....most are going to KNOW adjustments will be necessary...
Some auto genetics work like clockwork as stated, some don't...good genetics are important regardless what ya grow....most new auto growers have heard so much crap about'em, they won't spend enough for KNOWN quality breeders, therefore set themselves up for failure so they can bitch.....

so funny that people who are already experienced in growing will comment on something so obvious... posted it here cause its new auto spot but should've posted it in the noob section. didnt want to piss ppl of with this post but im tired of people talking bout auto sizes and how it compares to other when every plant is different.

Very good point there oldreefer, breeders is also a very big deal, getting the best quality seeds means everything. i always get mines from attitude.

Man, tough crowd. I think you made a valid point in your first paragraph.

Easy Ryder from the Joint Doctor, for example, is advertised as being 7 weeks from seed. That isn't the case with either of the 2 phenos I saw. The 7 weeks is just the flowering time AFTER the 3 week veg period before they show sex. The "tall" (better) pheno takes 11 weeks from seed to harvest at least. The breeder pack explains this, but the Attitude and other seedbanks say otherwise. I emailed the Attitude over a year and a half ago about this. They replied and thanked me for bringing it to their attention but it still hasn't been changed.

With any auto, assume a minimum of 8 weeks flowering time like you would a photoperiod strain plus however long it takes for them to start flowering. I don't think this is obvious to everyone.

It says 70-75 days on attitude for easy ryder. Sounds right.

I know its also debated now but just stick to the trichs and how mature they are not just color but their stalk and other physical characteristics and then adapting to the method where you can just look at a plant and know for sure it is done at least to your likes and specs.

I grew "Autos" outdoors two years ago, they were so different from each other I thouth I was growing different plants. For me outdoors was hard the auto's just really enjoyed growing mold, so now I grow them indoors, and still they vary, but they all do seem a tad quicker and smaller than the rest, which is what I am looking for.

Autoflower genetics have changed a LOT in 2 years. Just sayin.

Yes it does but in the overview at the top under "outdoor harvest" it still says 7 weeks from seed.

Welshsmoker I Currently have 2 G-13 Pineapple Express Auto.Are Their anything I Should Know I Cant Seem To Find Any Info On This Auto.You Said It Was Finished In 14 Weeks How Much Did You Get Off Your Ladies.Thanks

mine was a barneys p/e i think we had about 19g dry of her, there started flowering on day 2 off week 6.
