AutoFlowering Strains (1st time growing)

Hi, there's my first thread :-o

I never grew cannabis, so that will be my first time.
So I'm a newbie, I want to start growing. And to start I'm thinking in growing some auto-flowering feminized plants outdoors ( in a guerrilla). I wanna choose a productive and strong ( in high and resistence to bugs) plant. :weed:

So what do you recommend to me? :joint:

p.s.: sorry for my bad english

I think you'd have a little less potent plants using autoflower, but if you're in a cold climate this might be the only way to ensure a safe harvest. I grow Durban (which is not autoflower, but very potent for an outdoor strain)

yeah, I know.
But I wanna quickly have some buds. I'm thinking in grow 5 to 10 plants to compensate the normal auto-flowering yield.
And about the climate, I think that it wouldn't be a problem because I live in Portugal.

There are a few strains that claim to have high THC, heres the one I know off the top of my head;

Afghan Kush Ryder by World of Seeds - 21.6% THC
Diesel Ryder by The Joint Doctor - 13 to 15%THC
Il Diavolo by Delicious Seeds - 17% THC
Auto Blue Mataro by Kannabia 10 to 15% THC

But from the autos I've seen grown outdoors, there's a lot of variation in yield and plant size. Some that I've seen are so big that I can't believe they're autos, and other are pathetic. So that's kind of a toss up.
Also, there is this strain Iranian Autoflower by Dr Greenthumb. Last time I checked they were out but the few picture I saw of these were just incredible.
Idk, but heres the link;

If you live in Portugal and am not searching for a second harvest or anything i don't understand why you don't want to grow regular big yield plants that are more potent? -

I would like to grow that strain . But, I will buy the seeds in a spanish growshop called kayagrowshops. I love that growshop, they sell seeds in packages of just one seed, and to me that's a pro, I can get more variety of strains with the same amount of money.
And in the day after the buy I recieve my order at home.

What do you recommend me in these strains: http://kayagrowshops.com/index.php/english/264-autofloracion.html

I understand you. The idea is to get some buds to smoke in the summer. If I grow just some regular strains, I will have buds in September, October, November, and that´s to late. I can grow too some regular, and I will choose some strawberry haze or something like that ( a productive and strong strain), but now I´m searching for good auto-flowering strains. ;)

edit: In my case, theres another con in growing big yield pants. Like I said, I will grow in a guerrilla (in the middle of woods trying to nobody notifies me), so if I get 4 or 5 enormous plants it can be somehow dangerous.

I've grow Diesel Ryder indoors with success and am planning to use it in an outdoor grow this summer.
So I can't speak for it's outdoor performance yet.
The Joint Doctor has auto-flowering under control, all of my Diesel Ryders' have auto-flowered as advertised.

Going from the list of seeds at Kaya's, I'd recommend Buddha Seeds Assorted Auto-flower Feminized seeds pack.
It meets your requirements of being feminized and it gives you the variety you seem to be seeking.
Also steer clear of any Nirvana seeds that are feminized auto-flowers.
Nirvana's regular seeds to be fine, but any grows I've involving their feminized auto-flowers are rarely successful.
In most cases, they never end up auto-flower.
Good luck.

The problem with those autoflowering strains is that they are hybrids containing Ruderalis which is just not as potent as many of the other potent strains. So far i have not smoked autoflower anywhere near as potent as regular plants.

There are a few autoflowering strains potent, trust in me. It's a minority, but there are a few.
I will also plant big yield strains, but I will have to train them to don´t get too much big pants.

I'm not sure if i will buy the Buddha Seeds Assorted Auto-flower Feminized, because only 4 strains (seeds) in the pack are known, the other 6 are in experiment time. And they do not separate the strains.

I'm sure you're right that there are some potent autoflower strains. But the majority of the time an autoflower will not win the "blind test"

If I were you, I'd just get a really early finishing Indica. If you haven't ordered seeds yet though, it's pretty much gotta be TODAY or it's too late. Might already be...

Do not be misled by mis information I see above about the lack of potency in autos. I grow BOTH photos and autos and will put my auto potency up against ANY photo you can drag up......apparently some in this thread have no clue of the intense breeding of autos that has pushed their values far beyond what it may have been years ago. Also sounds like someone didn't know how to grow'em.....
That being said....Sweet Seeds autos are some dank....fast bud, speed devil autos and the green poison photos all great.....World of Seeds auto collection are some of the most potent strains I've personally grown.....The pakistan ryder and afghan kush ryder are on my perpetual grow list......Lowryder hybrids are one of the more stable strains with fair to good potency.....and most of them too are constantly undergoing evolutionary changes as breeders get smarter and smarter.
Being the only auto grower in my small collective of friends, I've supplied far more party favors than anyone else....as a matter of fact, most simply push theri phots buds aside when I walk in with my auto selection of the day.....

You can very well be right. As i write - there are probably strains, but the majority of the ones online are still not as potent. What strain of autoflower is as potent as for instance Jack Herer? I'll definitely be buying those to try this summer.

no one. But, what normal strain produces buds in about 70 days? Just autofloration strains. That´s the point

Did anybody knows some good strains that could be harvested in the end of August or in the beginning of September?

Do you anytime grew fast bud from Sweet Seeds) I´m interested in that strain. If you grew that one anytime, tell me things about it (resistence and yield, high, ...)

If I remember correctly....I did the fast bud, speed devil2, and green poison at the same time...of course the sd2 & fast bud are autos and the gp is just a fast photo so I did'em all 30 days or so under T5 24/0, then to 400w hps 12/12....all grew out in their advertised approx times....got close to an oz out of the sutos and bout 2 oz each out of 2 gp....no difficuties that I remember....had'em all in 2 ltr pots using biobizz throughout....highly recommend sweet seeds genetics which are definitely indica doms....
