Autoflowering Tips??

Hi

I have done a couple successful grows indoors in the past but have a baby now and my partners is too paranoid to let me continue. I've read loads about these AF plants that only grow up to 2ft and I can persuade her into these (also I think I could stick em out in the back yard if my flat was gonna be invaded by her family etc).

I have a space approx 3ftx3ft and 3.5ft high.
I currently have all the necessary white mylar and have a 400w HPS/MH set up (is this too powerful now? -if so, I will get flouros but how much is the minimum i need in W)
Are the yields worth the hassle if I get 5 plants up in this space

I am hoping to get AF Hindu Kush unless you have any other suggestions


Any help is appreciated even if I haven't mentioned something here coz I am still a beginner (although understand the basics of feed, medium, lumens etc)

IMO, autos are always worth the 'hassle' dank weed and they're incredibly easy to grow.

400W too powerful? 5 autos will freakin love it, enjoy the Kush!

nice!!! thanks, so what would you expect as min yield from 5 hindus in the 3x3x3.5 space. My last grow was in a 1m x 1m Bud Box and I had 9 Lemon Skunks (normal strain) I only got about 5oz of good dry stuff.

Min yield at least 4-5 oz off 5 plants..More if you grow em well.. I got 2 x Lowryders #2's nearly finished in a grow tent under a 400W HPS & I reckon at least 3oz off the two..

what height they getting to?? also do u start them on 12/12

oh, and of course how long have they taken to fully bud up

Check my Journal I have lots of info there & tons of pics.. They are about 2ft tall at their peak - They have been on 18/6 for the entire grow, took about 5/6 weeks to bud up will chop after 9 weeks from germination

It can be done but you will get smaller yields, personally I don't know of an Auto that specifically likes 12/12

ya im growing some auto ak47 x hindu kush from lowlife seeds and the buds are lookin great, one question i have about autoflowers though is light leeks or light interruptions a problem when growing them?

Good question.. as they are not photo dependant I would assume that it wouldn't hurt them as much as a regular MJ strain that flowers 12/12, I would make sure the grow area is light proof just to be on the safe side though..

I have read up some more and I think you can do 24hour light with AF. Its actually the normal seeds you can do 12/12 from seed ina very small grow box
