Autoflowering

mykos calcarb -- when exactly do you use it and in what quantities? Love the plant. I'm going to post an update of my girl tomorrow to conclude her first week of flowering

+rep'd you awhile ago btw, so I can't do it again hah
Thanks for the +rep. The Mykos Calcarb is a powder that you mix into a sprayer. It's foliar spray mix pretty much.
You want to spray a lil on top of the leafs and alot on the bottom of the leafs. About once every 2 weeks.

I have a liter sprayer .. so i mix 1tsp with water. I called the mykos company and asked them if I could use it from veg thru flower and they said yes (just don't spray it on the flowers).
I would go as far as to say that it makes your plants develop twice as fast and lush

That sounds amazing. I guess it makes your fan leaves absorb energy more efficiently?

Also, you mentioned that autoflowers do not require 12/12 for flowering, but do they benefit from it?

When you grow outdoor .. you don't really have a choice of how much light it gets. But if you grow indoors you can leave lights on it 24/7 from seed through flowering.
Does it benefit from 12/12 .. idk to be honest. I know the expected yield from a autoflower is around a Ounce. I'm probably going to get an O and a half and it's outdoor.

I believe sunlight is better for plant growth as it is intense and contains the full spectrum of electromagnetic radiation required for optimal plant growth. Indoor grow - you can make more "chronic" if done right. So I think it balances itself depending on how you grow your plant/ what you use to grow it/ how well you take care of it.

Yeah jack, I believe the ATF strain has ruderalis in it, which is why it began flowering first week of June...and I thought we were talking outdoor, so 12/12 doesn't quite apply, right?

So what, besides the fact that it flowers no matter what the light schedule is, makes an autoflower an autoflower?

I After this experience with my ATF strain, I was under the assumption that an autoflower was simply a cannabis crossed with C. Ruderalis...is this wrong?

I believe to make a certain autoflowering strain, a regular plant is crossed with a type of ruderalis .. to make the autoflower. I'm sure there are other ways to make your custom autoflowers .. but yes, it comes from ruderalis.

My sense of it is. Autoflower: not dependent of hour of light, short, lower potency (depending on what you give it in blooming phase), and harvest-able in 3 months from seed.
I got mine to almost 2 1/2ft .. so they have potential to get fairly tall.

Thanks for the clarification Jack.

And yeah mine reached about 2.5 feet tell swell! Pretce myhqty sweet to have something finishing up when all the others are just beginning flower.

Can't wait to taste it.

Same here .. my autoflower needs to hurry the fuck up .. lol.
I got home today and one of the tips of the fan leaves looked like it was cut off with scissors... I don't see any bugs but I sprayed her down with neem once the lights went out.

There are a few yellow spots on another fan leaf. Very small and only a few. I'm going to contribute this to the rather high concentration of tiger bloom I gave it. Other than that, the entire plant looks extremely healthy and green and about 9in tall now. Posting pics tomorrow when the lights go back on.

The directions for tiger bloom say every other watering. Bloom big says every watering and can be used during all life cycles--the recommended doses for Bloom big are also much larger than tiger bloom recommended doses. But I realize that the directions are not made for mj plants. My point is, I'm curious if it's safe to use bloom big and tiger bloom throughout the entire flowering process.

yah .. I would but i'm it's in the mail coming to my house .. so I can't use it yet. Big bloom also helps with cleansing of the roots so your plant can feed faster and what not.

For a per-gal ratio .. I would say 2-3tsp of Tiger and 1 of Bloom until it gets to week4.. then do 1 Tiger & 3 Bloom ... then week5 and on - do All Big Bloom

Sounds like a plan. Although bloom big uses TBSP in their recommended dose, not TSP.

I decided I'm going to use tiger bloom and big bloom together for the rest of flowering. Obviously in less than recommended doses. At the first sign that she is pulling nitrogen from the lower fan leaves, I'm going to add a small dose of grow big for the next 2 waterings and then stop using it. Flush during last week before harvest.

I nute burned her a little. Tiger bloom dose was way too high last week.

Here is my girl after her first week of flowering:

I didn't even realize I was in the outdoor growing forum. I found this thread via search function. Sorry about that. I'll keep updating though in case anyone is interested

Yah i don't get my big bloom for another couple of days...but i'll figure out the correct dosages when I get it.

Since you last post .. its seem like shes developed twice as much almost. Still post pics of ur auto in this thread thru harvest...i'm guna do the same thing.
What week of flowering are you in? how tall is she now?

9in tall. 1 week into flowering as of today.

Lookn like your might get an ounce off it
That would be excellent. I'm hoping at least a half.

By the way, I've been hearing a lot of talk about giving nutrients to autoflower plants every other watering to avoid lockouts/burning. If I'm watering twice a week, I may consider nutrients in only one of those waterings. And about 25-50% of the recommended dose.

Not sure if this is just an idoor thing though.

Usually with every plant the recommendation is to feed it nutrients every other watering. Indoor is probably a lil different than outdoor as far as nutients go..cus the sun has more intense lumens.
I would give it the general feeding doses. you'll probably hit a foot and half before you harvest.

I personally feed my plant this every other watering and it handles it fairly well.
Probably cus its big and its outdoor.
2tsp of Tiger Bloom
1 1/2tsp of Big Bud
1 1/2tsp of Bud Candy

what's your watering schedule like? I could probably do 1x every 5 days or so right now, but I let it ride longer. Next week I'm going to bring it down to about 1x every 4 days.

I usually go by feel of pot .. I know how it should weigh in my hands when its full, almost dry, and dry.
I'd say I water it a gallon every 2.5 days. but now that it's at peak bloom phase..its sucking up a gallon every day ..to.. 1.5 days.
I think I over fertilized it last nute-watering cus I gave it way more than I should have...so i'ma go light this next nute-watering .. which should be tonight.

Your aloud to be a lil more generous I believe when you hit flowering .. preferably once its hit the two week mark.

Pretty sure I have another autoflower strain going in the back that started from a batch of random clones i recieved from a friend. There are three of them, they all look to be the same strain so far, indica dominant, 1-2.5 feet tall, all started flower before July 14th. Looking like they might pull a decent yield so far.

Any clue to the strain?
