Autos... 50g a week!

This was my FIRST ScrOG, and SECOND EVER grow.
I'm no expert by any means. I fought root aphids for half this grow.
Still pulled 4.5 ounces per plant.

My second ever grow..... Hell, this was an experiment to see if ScrOGing auto's was even worth it.

Back to OP's original thoughts.

I am a man with a plan My plan is to plant 1 auto every week. Soo by the time the first auto is ready for harvest id hav an 8 auto cycle. The plan is to hav a 120cm (W) & (H) x 60cm (D) tent with 2x 125w Giant CFLs (1x 64k & 1x 27k) with 2x 135w 55k CFLs. On the right of the tent ill hav the 125w 64k (covering the first 4 autos) In the middle ill hav the 2x 135w 55k (covering 2 autos) On the left ill hav the 125w 27k (covering 2 autos) The plants move 1 place to the left each week. Soo for the life of 1 auto, she would spend 4 weeks under 64k then 2 weeks under 55k & 2 weeks under 27k. Lights on 18/6 the whole time If your growing an auto with 50g+ yeild then each full cycle (8 weeks) You total 400g+. Thats 15oz every 2 months. Thats bringing in £2200 in 8 weeks Why does everyone i speak to say auto r a waste of time? It seems like easy money to me If you were to sell it Whats your POs on this method?

50 grams per plant is EASY so long as you chose the right strain.
You need to blaze them with either LED, or HID lights for best results.
You've got plenty of watts, but the penetration sucks with CFL.
It may be doable with your setup, but I'd use stronger light.
15 ounces every 2 months is very easy to accomplish.
The only way you'll find out is to just get on with it and see what happens.
Me personally, I'd run a 600 watt HID in each tent.
I'd also LST the hell out of your plants.
Scrog is kind of a no-go if you want to move the plants.

Just remember...
Auto's suck.

I like getting nothing but colas running ScrOG. It's just what's worked for me so I stick with it.
I know for a FACT that I had 2 plants that put off less than 3 ounces so it goes without saying that even in my setup there were plants that were over 6 ounces.
I'm not growing from clones. Each plant is a bit different. Along with that comes the issue of running a dozen different plants in a hydro system and trying to keep them all happy as far as PH, and EC by riding the middle ground. I simply CAN'T dial into the plants and push them as hard as I could a single plant. If I run high PPMs half the plants would suffer and show nutrient burn.
IF I were to grow a SINGLE plant and could read movements in EC/PPM-PH specific to that plant I could push that plant to it's genetic limits.
Anything less than 10-14 ounces as was done by seymour would be a REAL disappointment.(AutoMazar, or Think Different)
That's the advantage of bubble buckets. You can dial into each plant individually and push them to the limit.
That's too much work for me. I run Flood and Drain and am perfectly happy with 14 plants putting out a 6 ounce average.
I don't think that's too bad for any plant to do in 90 days from seed to harvest.
Do you?
Keeping in mind that I've only got 3 grows under my belt, and am not an expert grower.

Let's just say there are CERTAINLY auto's that will produce a half pound of bud in under 90 days from seed.
Hell, even at a half pound (being REALLY generous here 10-14 ounce autos live among us whether people believe it or not) I haven't seen any photo plants pull it off in under 90 days from seed.
Not saying it's impossible.
I've just never seen it.

If I'm wrong, hook me up with a link to a decent grow.

Hey guys im back I should hav explained that i only thought i could get 50g of an auto was because the seed bank says what the yeild would b. Obviously at the time i didnt think that would hav 2 b perfect conditions & lighting :/ Im running cfls because i dont hav any extraction so a hid would b to hot for my cupboard :/ After reading so much about HIDs im willing to invest in a 600w after i get some sorta extraction You'll probably take the piss here (Feel free) I live with my parents so hav to b carful how i grow as they dont know Im still on my first grow, unfortunately when i started i only had 4x 30w cfls & they hav kept a super skunk alive & now in its 5th week flowering Im a complete novice & didnt know how much light plants really need :/ I love reading about how you guys grow Keep the coments coming saafe

ok after re reading this thread im sort of confused....90 days for an autoflower???....autos flowers should be ready in under 70 days MAX IMO it should be 60...isnt that what an auto is??...i would never grow an auto that took 90 days, fuck ill just get a regular mj plant. i can finish them in 90 days EZ...im a proponent of autos but...autos that take 90days IMO are a waste of time...good luck

Few auto's that are worth growing will actually finish in 60 days.
The majority of auto's will finish in 75
High yielding strains will still say 75 on the breeders site, but will take 90 to REALLY finish well.

I see you like auto's. I'm sure you've grown photo's.
Have you noticed how much faster veging auto's grow than photo's?
Have you noticed how much faster, and more vigorously they flower than photo's?
The extra light has a lot to do with it.

Few 60 day auto's are worth growing.
most auto's will finish in under 75 days and fall into that category.
Even the auto's I run are advertised to finish in under 75 days.
I guess you COULD harvest them, but they put on a TON of weight in that last 15 days when I run them 90.
I think that's a lot of the problem when it comes to talking about auto's.
Most people think of a 1 foot tall plant with a 2 month life span, lol.
That's NOT the norm anymore by FAR.
60 is Short. (generally not worth growing IMO)
75 is Average. (Good for connoisseur strains, bag appeal strains, tasty strains, or something special in one way or another)
90 is Long (This is where the high yielding strains will fall into. This is where most of the 75 day strains will end up if you want the most out of em)

The whole debate in this thread was whether or not a photo could put out as much weight as an auto from seed to harvest in under 90 days.
I've put up some grows that show results I know are IMPOSSIBLE with photo's. No one's put up anything to show a photo can even put off half that
in that time frame from seed to harves. No clones. 1 plant.
You say it's easier to just buy some photo's, but do you really know of any strain of photo that will put off a half pound of bud in 90 days from seed to harvest?
I've never seen it.
I let go of the 14 ounce plants because that's obviously not the norm. I settled the challenge on 8 ounces which I know I could pull from a TD with one hand tied behind my back.
Not all Auto's are whimpy little shitty plants.
I will say the majority of them are. Seed shops want in on the new thing so they throw some shit together to capitolize on it.
Dutch Passion has the shit locked down. TD and AutoMazar are INSANE plants.
They can flower under more light which allows them to finish faster.
They are far more vigorous in their vegetative growth compared to photos.
A photo plant at 30 days from SEED looks pretty pathetic compared to a Think Different, or AutoMazar.

You should check out autoflower.net. Lot's of cool shit going on over there.
I can tell you that you won't get shit for REAL info on auto's elsewhere.
Seymour is still pushing auto's to their genetic limit as we speak.
Still doing the insane yielding grows that no one believes exist.
