auto's in k cups?

I got a couple autos to play around with. One of them started glittering in the k cup so I'm gonna let it rock in there. I know I'll probably only get a gram if even possible to be successful in the k cup. Anyone have any input?

People usually start autos in the container they'll finish in. 3 gal seems to match what an auto can do in its fixed lifespan. This is because transplanting is seen as a possible stress that would consume some number of that lifespan.

If I were you I would transplant into at least a 1gal container. The results (even if it stresses) will be substantially better than leaving it in the k-cup.
 
I agree but once roots bounce is when it starts flowering. Isn't it true wether I transplant or not there will be no expansion?
 
Id transplant also. I have 2 NL autos going, one i started in 5gal and one i transplanted, while the 5gal plant is triple the size of the transplanted one for whatever reason it still worth it to transplant. Your roots will still grow after transplanted but wont have much room in the cup.

I agree about the one puff thing. But once autos flower that's is there is no getting better. I will transplant in something slightly bigger but yield won't improve. I'm just wondering if I can flower and feed as usuall and still have a normal plant just a dwarf

I don't know if that's true. I wouldn't go to 3gal. But, 1qt to 1gal would be worth a try. You're right that, if it doesn't grow into the larger container then it will be more difficult to water it on a timely basis. That's a problem I have with auto seedlings started in a 3gal container.

If you just went to a 18oz party cup it would be 10x larger than a k cup. You'd stand the chance of getting 5-20g instead of 0.5g from the k cup. It wouldn't add much to the problem of watering if it doesn't grow into it.

Please update this thread with what you learn. I'd be interested in knowing if it takes advantage of the larger container this late into its life.
 
Definitely leave in the k-cup! That'd be awesome. Little baby mj plant. If seeds weren't a pain in the ass to get I'd pop one into a k-cup..

You've heard of a c-cup and d-cup even doube d-cup... Just imagine what they look like by the time you get to K! :) He planted an auto seed INSIDE a set of K-CUPS! Down in the middle there.. It's humid enough to where it doesn't even need water.. ::)

k-cups are the little coffee pods that go in the newer coffee brewers. They're about 3 ounces. Like a shot glass size.

Not that kind of k cup. The plastic red cups you take out for a birthday party. I'd say 12oz

Oh, we call those solo cups... Yea, you can grow real nice bud in there.. No problem. There are solo cups contests all of the time. Got any pics?

Now you have me interested in growin in a k-cup.. I do have one free seed I may try.. It's mango kush something or other..
