So if some one says an auto takes 3 months does that mean three months to flower or to harvest?

When discussing autos and time we refer to the number of days in dirt. As autos do not need a switch in lighting you cannot count from 12/12 like non-auto strains. So, with autos it's days in dirt, with non-autos it is days flowering (12/12). Hope that helps.
