Baby Plants Burning (HEEELLLLPPPPPPP ME PLEAAASSSEEEE!!!!!)

Hi guys,

I have around 16 baby plants growing right about now. They are 3 weeks in and I am running into some problems. I am not too sure what exactly is happening. I'll give you a list of the things I have and what I am using:

- Right now I have two T5 fluorescent lights (3000K) which I've been using since the plants sprouted

- I am using a fertilizer called "Canna Aqua Vega (A+B)" with a 4:4:11 ratio

- I have the plants on a 18hr/6hr light cycle

- I am using Canna soil (same company as nutrient solution)

- I have all plants in a tray with pellet rocks at the bottom (I put the plants on top of the rocks and add water to the tray to keep humidity at 40-60%)

- All plants are in biodegradable pots

- I have a UV Humidifier (it kills all the bad stuff) and a fan in the room (the fan is pointed 3 feet above the plants to keep air moving)

- I have the lights around half a foot from the florescent lights

- I am watering once the soil gets cracked (to strengthen the roots and am using the nutrient solution once every week @ 4ml per plant)

I really would appreciate some help because I have no clue what's going on. The plants have a sort of yellow tinge to them and I am following all the directions that I have gathered from different sources. The temp right by the plants stays at 70-77 F. I rotate the plants once every day (so the ones in the middle go to the outside, ect...)

PLEASE HELP ME!!!! :-( :wall:

I can post pictures once someone replies to me :)

I think the K in your nutrient solution is too high plus you soil probably had a little something in it. Back off the nutrients for a week and then ease back into them starting with 1/4 strength. Everything else sounds pretty good in my opinion.

I figured the nutrients I was putting in was a little strong for them. Should I try to flush the soil with more water or just continue watering with regular water using my normal watering cycle?

Thanks for the response. I was starting to get scared. lol.

Each plant is in a coco pot. Each pot is around 5 inches deep and 4 x 4 inches at the top. I water around once or twice every week, again, depending on how dry the soil is. I usually know how deep the moisture goes when the plant pots are dry from touching them and feeling how light it is when I pick it up.

Wow, those are majorly stretched bro. You need to lower the light, 2 T5 bulbs can probably be as close as 6 inches if not closer without burning the plants. Also, I wouldnt use ANY nutes until the cotyledons on your plant start to shrivel up. The cotyledons hold nutrients for your plant, as well as the soil. Good luck

He already has them 6 inches away he said. Seriously though get those lights down to two inches away. Those are the saddest 3 week old plants ive ever seen :(

LOL. Thanks for the support. I've got some better pics of the plants.

I've moved them into a better place and I'm hoping that it all works out for the best. From all of the pictures you are seeing the one's with q-tips are seeds I have had lying around for around 2 years. I wasn't hoping for much from them anyways. The other plants were bought from a local seed shop. They are supposed to be Jamaican x Skunk. They are a lot bigger since the move.

***Sorry, the pics that I posted earlier were when the plants were 1 week or so.

Also, I found out that the place the plants were in had a person smoking cigarettes in the house. From what I've heard that kinda stunts the plants' growth.

Here are some pics I took today after I just moved them. They are propped up a bit better and are receiving some natural sunlight.

Whatever seeds I have remaining from the seed bank I'm going to germinate them asap. These plants don't look like they're going anywhere in a hurry.
