Back at it again 4th grow

Quick question Bud, when I hang mine to dry, I do all my trimming first. All the leaves go. I leave them on the stems for easy hanging. However it looks like you do either minimal or no trimming prior to hanging. Is there a reason behind this? Or just personal preference? I trim when I cut them down because I find it's easier at that time than later when the leaves are drier.

Just always curious why people do some things. Maybe I can better my results

^^^ YEs you are coorect. I only trim off the large easy to get to fan leafs. This gets them all off the plant and out of the way but leaves enough leafs on the plants to slow drying down a little, a slower dry it better than fast. The more leafs you cut off the more open areas you expose on the plant and this lets the plant dry faster. IME a slower dry and cure makes for a better smoke.

I got a little taste of the Niclear Fruit from cutting off a small bud while trimming. MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm very tasty and stony even uncured.

Half way done trimming. So far I have the Kush and Nuclear Fruit done and half of the OG Kush. Kush weight is 42 grams and Nuclear is 32 grams. Oh and I have been finding some seeds not much a a few here and there while trimming, sucks. I have some seeds becuase the Pandora's Box hermd mid flower and I did not see it in time.

I've been sampling my Master Kush from Nirvana as it dries and I need to fill the bowl (that sounds a bit gross doesn't it?). I've intentionally done as little as possible with it as an expirament and its effects have been phenomenal! Next run I'm going to see how the slower drying goes if I can as you suggest. It may be problematic in the winter where I am though; it tends to be more humid due to having to run the heat.

Keep an eye on the CFL forum, there will be another thread or I may keep this one going. I am just waiting on new clones and need to clean out the gorw space and mount the new light and I will be going again. May be doing some Girl Scout Cookies next time.

Trimmed 2 oz off 1 Pandoras Box plant and I still need to weigh out the OG Kush.

Question for you guys. I am using Botanicare Pro Grow and Pro Bloom for nutes and some of my plants will have the same weird smell even after a good 2 week flush. I was wondering if it is the nutes I am using and if so if there is another good inexpensive nute I could try? I get the same smell but off different strains on different grows. I also use Botanicare Original Berry, GO CalMg+ and Humbolt Honey Hydro Carbs.

Very nice. I have never seen a grow bag before. Do they soak up water like peat will? Do they leak at all?

Very curious and thinking about buying them instead of pots.

different nutes don't change the smell of your plants.........whats it smell like?

Can't descride the smell its not moldy or anything like that, kind of a sweet but musky smell. Now that I think about it I had that smell more when I used molasses and this time I pushed more sweets and more CalMg+ which has mollasses??? Final total grow dry weight is 11 oz. At this point I have sampled each strain from this gorw and they all smoke very well and are stoney. Only down side this time is I do have some seeds but not a ton just here and there.

Ok time for the next round but first a little smoke report from the last grown now that it is all cured. The Nuclear Fruit as I said is bomb very fruity and really stony my fav out of this and one of my all time favs for sure, super sugary. The Kush cured up nicely and as I have said buds are rock hard and super sugary as well smoke is very strong more of an Indica feel but does not make you sleepy unless you smoke too much. The Kush and Nuclear Fruit are top shelf quality OG Kush cured up nicely and even though it stopped swelling at about week 6 it yeilded well and smokes very nice. Pandora's Box grew huge buds and yeilded the most per plant this is the strain that hermd on me and cause seeds. Smokes pretty well a little harsh on the back end of a hit but has a nice head high. Sorry no pics of the end harvest this time but I can take some pics of the nicer buds from each strain.
I have the closet all ready for the next set of clones. This time it will be 4 plants 2 Medi Bud and 2 Girl Scout Cookies in 5 gallon smart pots. I clean it all up and monted the new 4 ft 8 bulb light yesturday and did some other little things in there as well to make my life easier. I will be getting my girls thursday or firday so stay tuned.
