Plants, and Marijuana especially know what is around them...In the wild, most plants grow male and female and then polinate and make more plants...When you have a whole bunch of females, like me... ( I have alot more plants) They can sense that they are around a bunch of other females, and when it comes time to polinate there wont be any males to do the job...SO, sometimes a female will "flip" on you, meaning it will hermaphrodize and start growing seed pods, so that way it can polinate the rest of the females, which will give you about a pound of seeds....which sucks balls.

Thats why even if you have female plants...check them all the time because every once in a while, them bitches will "flip" and turn into chicks with dicks.

I started tieing this one down when i first found her...I stapled it to the ground and grew it like a vine for a while....until the secondary growths came up then I started tieing those down...

basically you want to tie it down when you see that the lower growths arent recieving any light...the only reason I tie down and trim lower fan leaves is so the smaller tri-growths will get direct sunlight...So...just tie down wherever you think needs more light and try to visualize how the plant is going to grow after tieing...Check out the new pics im about to post....youll see what i mean.

So, You'll notice that I tied the tops together in one bunch so that the lower growths will get more light and get taller. You can see how many sprouts I have coming off the secondary growth. I will leave it like this for about another 5 days...Its been 2 so far...

So I got in contact with the last people here that grew...I showed them where I found the plant and they said what had happened was that they had a bunch of random sativas growing and one turned male and polinated all there plants...where I found the plant they said all there afgoo was there....

...SO

I have a random sativa x afgoo.

Which means Im allowed to rename it.

Since Ill be cloning and passing the strain along and giving extra buds to clubs...I need a name.

Taking suggestions for names...Though Id like to smell and see the buds to get a better Idea for the name...

top names so far.

1. Hot Sauce
2. O-Bomb-Bud (obama)
3. Purple Mountain's Majesty

lol I understand how pollination occurs, I just dont agree with you that females "sense" other females, and thats what causes them to hermi....

Mmm can't wait for my afgoo :weed: but if you're gonna name it I'd go with what it simply is- a sativgoo or afgiva :bigjoint:

I agree with you. This is what I was told from another grower...He said it only happens with plants the grow from seed. Clones can only hermaphrodize if there light schedule is interupted often.

I have been doing research and I cant find anything that says that any type of plant including cannabis can sense its sex and the others around it...

Ill let you know if I find anything, but thinking about it more (not high) sounds just like common sens that this is not a possibility and doesnt cause hermaphrodites.

Also, I think that if this was fact, there would be more frequent occurences, since everyone and there brother grows only female plants, I think we would know about this and it would be a problem that many would be facing.

yeah bro, from what Ive learned, it seems like plants can go hermi if they are stressed too much, or sometimes it seems they can just herm on there own...for no reason lol but yeah if they could sense other females, then everyone would be gettin a seedy crop! lol :peace:

this plant is a wierd strain. It is 45 days into flower and just started to crystalize. She is healthy and I have neglected in trying to get a huge yield off of it due to caring for my main harvest. In attention to the circumstances in which this plant has been cared for I would say shes doing pretty good. lol. I havent been pumping her with food and water like I normally do. I havent really paid much attention to her and yet she stands 5 feet tall from stalk to top and Id say ill get about a 1/2 Lb. off her. Good free smoke. Dont really like what her nugs look like so far though. Leaves are super wide like an indica, the flowers are certainly sativa dominant. Curious to see the results. Ill letchyall know. peace.
