Bad seeds or Bad Luck? Balls City

Hello all,

Well I don't know if I just have the shittiest luck or perhaps there is a deeper issue? (quality of seeds, plant environment?)

I bought seeds online from a BC seedbank (10 - White Widow, 10 = Kush) so far:

* 5 of 10 Kush seeds sprouted (the rest never cracked),
- only 2 made it to seedling, both plants Male

* 5 of 10 White Widow sprouted (the rest never cracked),
- 4 made it to seedling, 3 plants Male

What sucks is that I initially only had 1 room, so I vegged for 5 weeks, and baby'd the plants every day. All were healthy with some nute probs at first, but with the info from here I was able to diagnose and recover.

I know you can feel my pain when you have 5 plants flowering and two weeks into flowering ALL OF THEM are showing Male!! :wall:

These plants are in soil, with Fox Farm Marine Cuisine mix, 400MH for Veg, 400 HPS flower.

No other Nutes added to date.

I wrote the seedbank, but they were not very helpful or concerned.

At this point I'm about to call it an experience and close up.....

My setup is pretty standard closet setup with ample air circulation, perfect temps. I really don't think I am doing anything wrong....

Damn frustrating!

It totally sucks when this happens, especially when you see people posting about getting 9 out of 10 females.
I got 40 Durban Poison last year and of the 20 that actually sprouted I got 3 females.
Anyway I used the best male to pollenate some lowryder 2's and now I have a bag full of Lowryder 2 x Durban Poison,
I haven't smoked any yet but it will be ready to harvest in a few weeks and they are the stickiest things I have ever grown.

My advice would be fuck the seedbank you have put me of getting anything of these.I stick to attitude seed bank or greenhouse these have never let me down and have always been great in any complaints. Was the seeds put somewhere nice and warm because the temp in the uk has been freezing this could have had a impact. The one good thing is at least you got a mother and a few to bud[and beware you may has well get your seeds from a fishing tackle shop there are some good and some bad has in every thing stick to the big name attitude gave me 10 thai super skunk for buying 10 arjons ultra haze.

Thanks for the replies,

Chaz, I think I may just use the male to pollinate a plant and make some seeds for future grows.

Question: What is the best way to go about this at this stage? I plan on cloning a branch from the female then using that clone for the seeds.

- The reason why i ask is because I am unfamiliar with the timing.
- If I seperate the male and create another closet so that he can continue to flower at 12/12, wont the male be ahead of schedule compared to the female clone?
- If so, once he starts busting sacks, what do i do then? Store the pollen and sacks in airtight bags? how to store? (freeze?), how long does pollen keep?

Sorry for the newbishness... but as with everyone here, i'd like to avoid the obvious mistakes from somebody elses experience and save some time from the trial and error route...

Thanks in advance

....I stick to attitude seed bank ...

Tru say bro... I actually ordered some beans from them last week. Very professional bunch over there. Hopefully my next (first) grow journal will be from their seeds:
- Cheese
- Sour Diesel
- Wild Thai
- Blueberry
