Bad tasting bud

Hey guys, i been growing big bud strain outdoor in a pot...

Was using nuts- thrive flower for a while and then pk fertiliser for a few weeks.... I thought i was close to harvest so i started flushing, then got advice on here to wait it out a few wks...

So i waited another week or so, still using only water then took a small bud to try from the bottom of the plant..

Dried for twp days and tried it and it tasted pretty bad... Nothing like my normal smoke...

Had a foul taste- not sure how explain it.

I smoked the bud/leaves as it was small...

.....is that normal? Have I done anything to fk it up or just not ready/quick dry messed it up?

Plants looking bulky now, but i wanna be able to smoke it...

Any advice is appreciated..

I think patience is your best option a proper dry/cure will bring out alot better flavor. Depending on the size of your plant it may take 7-10 days to dry using a fan at about 50% rh. Different conditions will majorly affect your final product. *Cheers* and good luck.

Its about 1m high... Was hoping its just due to immaturity and quick dry..

As i flushed for about 4 weeks now; that should 'help' it i guess? More natural? Lol

Theres heaps of info on the net but any good links to drying? Ive never done it so need all the help i can get.. Cheers again
