so here it is I have a 2x2m tent started off with 2 600w hps 1 10 inch exhaust and a 8 inch intake pretty new to this so the guy in the shop I bought it from said I’d be good with 3 600’s 1 10 inch out and 1 8 inch in set it all up humidity was in the mid 20’s temp was in the late 30’s! Took 1 of the 600’s out Didn’t really make much difference humidity the same temp about mid 30’s added wait for it... another 10 inch extractor and another 8 inch intake so that’s 2 10 inch sucking out and 2 8 inch blowing in! Still over 30 degrees bought a humidifier got the the humidity up to around 45% all good bought an air con 9000 btu got the temps down to 25 for a day or 2 but now I can’t get it any lower than 29 sometimes 30 today 31! I really am at a loss with it at this point intakes are directly at 2 open windows but the exhausts are resting on top of the tent and blowing out of the bedroom door which is obviously open along with the air con exhaust which is making the hallway outside the room stiflingly warm I’m wondering if this could be the problem I plan to move the exhausts though the ceiling into the loft space as a last resort this weekend including the air con exhaust as a last ditched attempt to get the temps down just wondered I’m missing something maybe you guys could help with? thanks

So your bringing in air from outside, what has the temperature been where you are ? Where exactly are you takin your temp reading in your tent

Yeah In from outside the weathers not been particularly hot or cold and I’ve got 5 thermometers in the room one at the top one about mid way up one the in shade at root level then the one on the humidity controller the probe for which is near the top of the tent also in the shade then one on the humidifier

Cool the room the tent is in, set that room to start at 66f, then draw the air going into your tent from the room the tent is in, then monitor the tents temp at the canopy level, if its to hot lower the rooms temperature where the tent is in by 2F, then exhaust the tents heated / smelly air directly outside... In such a small space, the only thing that you should be controlling inside the tent is the humidity. I run 2 DE 600(s) in a 5 x 5 and the only way I can keep it at 72f - 74f in the tent is to keep the room that my tent is in at 63f

Are your intakes actually sealed to the window and not allowing air from anywhere other than outside?

What's your average outside air temp this time of year?

What's your average house temp?

How many windows do you have in that room?

I have my intake drawing from the room the tent is in with a window open and my exhaust duct goes through the ceiling above and into a roof tile vent. My temps are low with 2 600s in a tent smaller than yours and I'm using a 8inch fan reduced to 6inch ducting and a 4inch intake.
Aslong as the heat has someplace else to escape and you have fresh air coming in you will be good

Mainly how are your meters shiekded from light and where are they placed - i dont know if the obvious has been asked but im shocked you arent getting at least ok to grow temps doing all that :-)
