Just a quick thought, from my experiences in learning I've found most of my reg./low grade endeavors have been Sativa dom if not just about %100 in telling from observation.

Anybody else come across this? Or care to expound?

Well around Cincinnati most mids or reg are indica. There are a few Mixed indica dominants but sativas are usually only in sour diesal and others .

Define Sativa dominant.

Do you mean they LOOK sativa dom from the phenotypical expression, tall and thin for example with long slender leaves.

This realistically means nothing when it comes to the genetics within as phenotype can change with environmental influences.

I can grow a plant and send you a clone, when you grow the same plant within your environment it will have the exact same genetic make up but won't necessarily look exactly the same.

I'm with you on the way the question itself was worded, I am having a hard time telling what exactly it is the OP is asking for. And you are completely right in saying that the way the plant looks is 100% reliant on the environment and just because it looks one way as a seed, doesn't mean it will grow up a specific way.

Sorry for the confusion, I'm finishing some glove/scissor hash.

Yes I mean by appearance tall thin main cola, lady finger leaves. A more up high and longer flowering times.

i agree.. most of the times i grew bag seed it was mostly sativa dominant, sometimes you grow it and the plant just looks confused lol.. what do you expect though.. its BS :-P

Tall thin main cola and lady finger leaves are phenotypical yet the high type and flowering time are genotypical.

Now it depends on where you keep getting these bag seeds from and how often as to the genetics involved,as it's all purely speculation based on what could theoretically cause such a dominance. ;)

I love the bagseed surprise myself, I have enough access to genetics now. It's fun to throw 'em down, it's like hooking up with a hot chick when things go right it's a helluva lotta fun. If they don't then no big deal. I was just curious what other people thought. Having done it enough so I have a good idea of what I'm looking at hence the addition of type of high and longer flowering periods. I'm familiar with wikipedia.

Hmmm...I grew out one bagseed the very first time I grew...it was way better than the bag it came from, but looked like shit compared to the "real" plants I grow now...
And since I started properly growing I haven't had to buy any pot in a long time...so I have no bag seed..I do have random cross seeds that can't help but be kick ass, because kick ass + Kick ass = Even more kick ass...at least the first run...if you breed those seeds to one another again, that is where everything starts to get a little weird...

I've grown and grew up watching the bag seed be grown.

I personally love the "white" genetics when it comes to higher end, I've grown a version of the W.W., Diesel, Cheese (didn't work out) & W.W. X B.B. brought from Amsterdam in the 90's according to the clone source.

Personally I'm in a favorable position to find a decent bagseed and see what the Pot Gods throw my way, I guess I was just asking what other bagseed throwers have observed in regards to experience with what pops up.
