Bag seed

So I got a few grows under my belt theae last few years and normally grow from seeds that i buy. Just had some bud off a friend some weeding cake cross something else can't rember right now. Anyway I'm gonna try pop it wet paper towel method then get it going as I have others on hi anyway. Anyone give me some info on doing this and will it be as good as the weed It came from

I read a post by a guy who had a friend who grew with bag seed, said that he'd get 95% females from the seeds.

My first grow was bag seed, I germinated 12 out of about 100 seeds. All 12 were female and grew well for me.

Most growers don't keep males around so usually the pollen that made the bag seed comes from a female genotype that produced staminate flowers without any help from the grower. That's why bag seeds are frequently all female.

It probably will not turn out better than the mother, especially if the mother is a "keeper" but there is a small chance it could. The tendency to produce staminate flowers is probably heritable so unless you're into that you'll have better luck continuing with commercial seeds or your own deliberate chucks.

Cool just told my mate keep his eye out for more. Nothing to lose as just took a couple of clones off mine before flowering so should time in nice
