Bagseed from "Middies" turned Hermie cause of Genes PICS

These pictures are about 6 1/2 weeks into flower and to be honest im not sure when they will be done, or if they already are done. You can see the ermie action going on which is really disapointing. She was all by herself so i dont know what else could have cause it. it came from "middies" which werent terrible but werent great. She was really well taken care of and didnt go under any temp or light stresses. She was kept at about 81F. If anyone else has ever had the samething happen please let me know. I dont know what did this and other then not using another shitty seed, I dont know what else to do to not make this happen again.

They will turn hermie from genetics. Thats probably why your bag had seeds. It was a hermie too.

Can anyone tell me why these are genetic hermaphrodites and not forced to herm through environmental stress?

I believe when a parent goes hermie and you end up with seeded bud those seeds are more likely to be but not necessarily hermaphrodites. This genetic code has been etched into the phenotype-not visible but genetic phenotype of the plant thanks to its desire to propagate itself to ensure survival. Cannibus will flower when told to ( 12/12 ) so it produces seed prior to dying during the winter. The hermaphodite self-pollinates when environmental stress indicates its survival is in jeopardy. Thus the offspring of such a plant may and usually do take on this survival mechanism. When flowering reaches its 4th or 5th week it may produce male flowers if the plant does not register any seed growth or pollination occuring.

The explanation is my basic understanding of what is occuring in the plant. I do not know alot about the subject of hermies as cannibus is one of only a few plants able to produce both sexes of flower if it needs to.

Can't you pluck the male flowers or try some dutchmaster reverse?? Or buy good genetics...just a thought

Well hermie's are not to bad to get because the seeds that they produce cannnot be male. thats where seed banks get ther feminized seeds. ther guarenteed female or hermie.

Its mainly genetics... I was about to chop it down but then I saw female pistils popping up. Balls and female parts BOTH developed at the same time
