hello this is my first grow and just wanted to show you guy on RIU.org my babies. they are on 18/6 hrs with 400w MH in MG soil with 1/4 nuts and its grow in a cabinet that is 30''inches/16''inches/5ft tall. i also have a small cabinet with 4 CFl 23w on 24hrs for my new seed that just sprout a week ago they are in rockwool i dip them in nuts water two time a day. tell me what you guys think. any input is welcome.

Welcome to the forum. Please stop dipping those before you kill them. Watering once a day is too much. You want the roots to grow looking for water and rockwool retains the most water of any of the mediums. VV

Those are fucking fungus gnats and they probably came with the MG soil! Is it MG organic. I have those little bastards too they are starting to infuriate me... Get one of those fly traps that hangs down, and water less. They like the damp soil.. Drying it up every few days will help kill them.

no i dont have a fan in my CFL cabinet but i have an air pump that pump fresh air in there. i ran it from my fish tank air pump it have a dual output. i also switch my light last night to 120w warm and 100w white CFL it is much brighter than the 23w cfl i had in there and i think the plants are loving it.
Always tryto have a constant air flow across the plants. It'll strengthen the stems and keep those damn bugs off of them too. Keeping air blowing across the leaves makes the stem grow thicker, better for holding up fat buds!
I use a dehumdifier and its exhaust is a constant (when the compressor runs) 68 degrees! so it dries and heats the room at the same time. My fan is set up to suck the dehumidifiers exhaust into it and blow that across the plants. So they get warm dry air across them all the time. I use a standard window box fan on the floor aimed into the closet (I am using an unused basement closet for my growroom) it works and it's cheap!

last night i come home from work and a few of my plant got burnzed on top where new leaves are growing and snap a few pics. i guess they grew and was too close to the light. so i adjust them to about 2 to 3 inches under the new 120w and 100w CFL bulbs and it is alot hotter in there with those light so im probbly gonna add in a new computer fan in there soon when i have time to work on it.
one question i dunno when i should flower them? i start them from seeds and it was on 12/24/07 and they're about 11 inches now.
any of you guy suggest i should flow them now?

flowering occurs at the end of your veggiing. if you look elsewhere on this site you will find a lot of answers to that question, but no, they aren't ready for flowering yet in my opinion. usually when it start to show the hairs (or sacs) you can think about flowering, but everyone's plants vary. Hell I've got 20 and I'm forcing them into flowering becaused 17 of them are ready and I only have 2 light fixtures both for all 20 plants. It won't kill 'em, but those 3 may have less yield. I hope you are on a 18/6 or a 24/0 light schedule. for flowering you want a 12/12 with no light interruptions at all! remember plants grow in light but they flower in darkness! more dark is better! light bad, dark good! for flowers anyhow
so i have to wait until they start showing some balls or hairs?can i just force flowering? my light are on 18/6 and yes my cabinet is light tight well there a few crack leak but i can tap it up. ill wait one more week till flowering time. i have some Low Ryder 2 that i want to start germanate
