Bagseeds 12/12?

I am just starting a small grow set-up in my closet and have 2 23w 1 42 w CFLs and 2 21" grow lights from Menards. I have the two pots sitting inside of a plastic tote right now. I am wondering if i can jus grow the plants under 12/12 from start or if i should do a veg period first? :joint:

i would def veg at least 2-3 weeks...it will b worth more of your time

You can start them in 12/12, but it will reduce your yield. It's better to veg for awhile first. :peace:

a 24/0 light cycle in veg gives me good and faster growth. also i used a 12/12 from seed on a previous grow 3 plants all were male, i think 12/12 from the start will give you more males which is undesirable unless you want to breed.

i dont belive in the hole 12\12 from seed thing most say it takes like4-5 weeks b4 they start showing sex so whats the point, if you vegged for 4-5 weeks than switched to 12\12 it would only be another week for it to show sex than you got a nice sized plant that will produce a good harvest in the same time it took jack waddle to go 12\12 from seed and get like a half oz

just veg it a few weeks its not saving time to 12\12 from seed and its not really saving you much electricity either.... veg veg veg

You can do 12/12 but you'll get the best results doing 24/0 or 18/6! Its really just best to do the veg cycle right and go to 12/12 for flowering you will be a lot happier with the yield!!

So i decided to take some pics and to get some feedback from the world out there..... i only started the smallest one from seed and i got the other two from some friends that just threw some bag seeds into a pot and i transplanted them about a week ago and have seen a lot of activity already. one of the two is pretty droopy right now and hoping that she pops back up soon.

I am also going to be adding in some diy co2 bottles in later today to help give the plants more co2 then they can handle

think i would pull those 2 tall ones and concentrate onn the one.... one plant per pot is best and now is the time t do it just pull em up, do it gently and try to re plant it if you want who knows maybe they will live but it will save you a lot o trouble down the road

Yeah man you might want to give each of them a seperate pot so none of them will feel starved and what not. its much healthier for them.

agreed, definitely move them now, try grabbing some of the roots from the outside 2 when you move them. if you keep multiple plants in one container like that, it gets very messy and frustrating down the road. also something i learned was dont even put 2 plants together in a big container. one plants' roots will grow more rapidly than the other and starve out the other plant!

would it be better to do it on the night cycle or the day cycle? or does it not matter? All of this is really good stuff i knew i had to move them soon and was just trying to figure out how to move them. What whould be the best containers for a tub set-up on cfl lights on a power strip?

not true, the plants will grow fine its when one turns out to be a male that you have trouble. you cant cut out the male cause the roots will rot and kill the other plant but it will not starve the other plant. try it some time just use fem seeds or clones

doesnt really matter you could try to use a spoon to scoop out the plants and get the roots too, just do it now before they get any bigger

Alright so i did the transplants this morning and i figured out why the one was droopier and it was because its roots had grown more rapidly then the other and was probly lacking water. I am in the process of building a light reflector and also thinking that i need to make this into a grow journal on that page instead of on here?

So i havent updated in a while and here are some pics of the activity. The two larger plants are from a transplant that lived so far. The other two are bag seeds one chron and on mid. I ended up having to go onto a 12/12 cycle just because of time restraints and all. Tips, advice,comments wanted. Cant really add anything else because of $... bongsmilie

here are some new pics of how the babies are doing. comments, tips, anything?? help is much appreciated. Starting with the two bigger ones which are transplants from a friend. and the last one just got transplanted into the pot its in now and i dont think it like the switch very much because it is struggling to stay standing. The close ups go in the same order.
