hey ruiers,

has anyone tried (with success or failure) putting a plant outdoors to flower in febrary in california? the cold weather probably won't be much of an issue, but the increasing hours of light as we get into march might bring the plant to reveg before it's quite done (?)

appreciate any advice or links.

Im gonna be trying this as well, i only have one plant to experiment with but i will put it outside feb 1st and see what happens, i think once the plant is so deep into flowering, the light wont affect it too much but i could be wrong

hmmmmm, well I had a bagseed plant that I vegged til it was about a foot tall indoors under 20/4 light....then I put it outside the very last day of February last year and it flowered fine with the increasing hours of daylight. Believe i ended up harvesting it 2nd week of May. How many hours of daylight do you get during the next 3 months or so??

yeah it depends, I put a lemon larry og out last year in the beginning of april and it re-vegged on me, but reveg isn't always bad bud. let it re-veg and finish it up in the fall and you could end up wit some decent buds

Yes it does me fine from last two years ago and last year as well...no hermie issues whatsoever !

Right now I have four seedlings all of them are 7 days now...ill put em out by end of feb.

not hurt to give some of your plants a go to see the result !

happy gardening.

If you are on a balcony and had any problems with revegging, you could do light deprivation once it got to be more than 12 hours of light..... just find some good quality black poly tarp that doesn't let light thru and fix up some simple wooden or metal supports to hold the tarp up once it needs to be in place

that's great to hear. if it worked in late feb for you, early feb should be fine. i'm in 37 deg latitude, so not sure how many hours of daylight, but it's central cali...

yeah, that would be a massive plant though, huh? hoping to avoid the reveg, but good to know anyway!

definitely bro! thanks for the tip.

Hey Homer! :) You can put it on in Feb if you like and it should flower and harvest by May. I did that the last couple seasons and had a few oz dry for the summer planting. :)

Here is a post from my thread last season. I think it was late March but you can see where I am in flower. :)

definitely true. with what everyone's saying, it sounds like it probably won't be an issue, but yeah a good black tarp is the way to go.

thanks everyone for the ideas. peace --

Turned out mine was a male.. Sucks cause im living with my parents and they dont want us growing very many plants and my last one was male as well. I just need to get me some fem seeds or clones so i can just rid this problem, I hate watching a beautiful healthy looking plant turn out to be of no use
