Bananas popping here and there..

I am noticing them on lower buds (that dont get direct light) and a few on main colas. I have 2 - 3 weeks left til harvest, probabally closer to 3. I noticed some several weeks ago, but now I see quite a few. They look retarded and none have balls or anything remotely close to balls on them. Just little tiny malformed banana looking little points here and there.

How much of a threat are these to the crop?

Ive noticed them in crops in the past and never had a problem with seeding.

Ive felt quite a few lower buds for immature seeds, and felt none.

This is my first hydro grow and I have had a few disasters. Wonder if stress is the cause. That and the room gets in the low 50s at night, which isnt that unusually cold.

My buds are getting monster size, some almost three feet long, so growth is fine.

What to do?

Usually bannana is sighn of hemaphidite. Pull em off carefully if they open they have pollen in them

Pick the sacs off carefully... you are too close to harvest for it to be a serious problem....but if the sacs open the pollen could contaminate your grow room and seed future grows.

if you have 3 weeks left, and you have males pods, you risk a very high chance of ending up with lots of seeds. if they are everywhere, i'd kill them.

Reverse will kill the male "parts" and keep the buds seedless

Don't belive the hype my friend. Read Panheads thread on it. He used it in an experiment and came to the conclusion it was nothing but snake oil.

I used it on some definate blueberry herms and it worked.. I could see the balls mutate and stop growing. Some of them spit hairs.. That was 2 weeks ago, 3rd week of flowering and now late in 5 there are none.. Last time i did not use reverse i had 12 bb from seed and 24 b52's from a mom that had no hermi trates and i got seeds after removing the males and obvious hermies from the blueberry with seeds.. ... I cloned only bb from these bb plants for this crop (36plants) so i know the herms are in there. Like i said i saw the balls in week 2,3.. I treated my bitches and there are no balls or flowers or anything male in there that i can see and believe me i looked..

I read that snake oil thread too but i didnt see where anyone in it even tried the stuff.. They just were saying there was no chemical present for this response.. I can only say i tried it one time.. And it worked as far as i can tell..

I had several plants out of the 28 I have going right now that looked like they had male pods. I waited a week and they were actually female flowers that took a little time putting out their pistols. I belive there are a lot of people that think they have a hermie and don't wait long enough for the pistols to show before they kill them off. I still call BS.....

I just drenched them with Dutch Master Reverse. Couldn't afford the penetrator so used joy liquid which acts as a wetting agent. I soaked them all til they were drooping from the weight.

Re-evaluating them today I would say they have about two weeks to go. The bananas were not there last week when I went and tied all of the plants up, so hopefully not much pollen got released. New pistil formation is beginning to slow considerably and the calyxes have started swelling, so I am hopeful they are on the home stretch.

The person I got the mother from said they were a 7 weeker but the internet says 8 - 9 weeks. We shall see.

Im not here to argue either.. Im just saying i used it and it worked.. Your just saying you never used and and someone said it may not work.. So it doesnt.. Now im saying maybe try the product and it may work for you.. I mean why not try this stuff if you need it.. As a last resort.. The least that could happen is you keep your crop sensi.. ???

Ps what the fuck is snake oil anyway???

15 bucks to keep your crop seedless and keep the resin production 100... Why not??? Try it let us know .. Opinions are opinions.. Try it
