So, I will eventually update with some pics, in the works. Here are the details:
1000 watt HPS soil grow
FoxFarm Ocean Forest/Perlite (50/50)
FoxFarm Nutrients, Complete Line.
OVERALL: 8.5
GROWTH: 9
VK is an aggressive vegetative grower that will produce large, healthy fan leaves and natural branching. Unless you are intending on growing trees/bushes, I would suggest FIMMING ot topping, as she will accomplish the task on her own. During veg, the plant stays fairly short and bushy, Upon flowering, the stretching is slighly more pronounced than one might expect from an indica. She also tends to grow too crowded in the middle of the plant, limiting lower growth. I would take care to delicately trim a bit to open up the middle of the plant, as to provide ample light to the multiple, tightly clustered head nugs. Be sure to not allow your plant to stretch out in veg; doing so will result in poor development for flower.
YIELD: 7.5+
I don't have much to say here. She is an above average yielder who requires a bit of careful, educated, foresightful pruning to achieve her maiximum potential in this category. Yet, despite this, her buds are tight and thick.
RESIN/POTENCY/SMOKE: 9
With a promised 22% THC content, VK does not disappoint in resin content. The buds were frosty from day 15 of 12/12 and on, steadily caking on as the time passed. The smell is a sour, subdued fragrance in flower. Once dried and cured, the buds smell almost eyewateringly citrus-sweet. The hit is hard and quick; take care not to waste that hit and spit all over the person in front of you in the circle! The taste is excellent, lasting, and thick in the mouth. A classic indica high that, suprisingly, is quite pleasant in the sense that there is no knock-out effect. I am writing this after taking (and while taking) several bong hits, and I find myself uplifted and able to think quite precisely and with detail. At the same time, I feel myself relaxed and, if I opted, could lie down and fall asleep. Overall, a grade A smoke/high that leaves you with no paranoia and definately has potential applications for those with intractable pain, wasting conditions, and insomnia.
I hope you have enjoyed this preliminary and still very much under construction review of the strain. I have to give it to Barney's Farm; this strain is a gem to the responsible cannabis loving community.
