I’m in construction for a living so I’m pretty good with tools framework etc. trying to build a grow room in the basement and bedroom a flower room and a curing room all sealed I’ve had a lot of conflicting information about don’t use drywall then others say do you drywall then people are telling me use gypsum board others are saying not to use any experience builders here with any insight would be greatly appreciated ceiling height is 7ft and some change I run chilled led

As long as you seal the walls so they are non porous and cleanable otherwise you can get mould
You're the construction guy.

I don't know why folks have told you to not use sheetrock. Possibly water damage? Bathroom sheetrock. The blue stuff.

Besides, white paint will seal the walls. Easy to wipe down with bleach.

As long as it is moisture board I wouldn't see a problem with it otherwise as stated above mold

Also a "construction guy" I am using drywall with white roof paint. That shit is water proof and designed to reflect sunlight. If money was no object I'd be doing drywall with a layer of 1/8" HDPE sheet over top caulked at the seams. Pressure wash room after every cycle.
That’s more what I was trying to do but no basement floor drain but looking on seeing if I can make that happen as well wanna keep as clean as possible figure all this will happen Over some time because like u said will be pricey

Preventative maintenance.

Spray the room from floor to ceiling with copper fungicide before sticking plants in the room. After the bleach rub down.

So bleach it and follow up with the copper.

Yeah everything being sterile and clean as possible main goal in all of this something that will last the long haul as long as taken care of

I clean my room about 2-5 days before using it. Everything I can do to ensure No Drama.

Bleach, copper, and Azamax. But the Azamax gets sprayed on the plant shelf, floor, and pots. Again, before the seeds have even popped.

Just use a wall frame and then use sheeting to separate the rooms against the frame. No need for an actual wall. Especially if it's just a separating wall.

this is what I’m thinking of doing just need to figure out placement of ducting pulling fresh air and blowing air out or if I want to run sealed rooms with co2 placement of fans etc
