Hello everyone! Me and my roommate are planning on growing a few plants in the basement. We have some seeds germinating now and they apparently White Widow.

So I have just a few questions to help us get started. What size pot and which type of soil would you reccomend we use? How much lighting per plant? and how often should we water them?

Thanks in advance for any help!! :weed:

Basements make a good grow space. Depending upon the lights you plan to use you may need to add heaters or fans to regulate the temperature. You should make sure all your wiring is good down there and make sure there is no water damage or leaks anywhere. The size of your basement will determine what you need as far as equipment. There's actually a lot that goes into using a basement. For instance when was your house built, and where are you located( generally speaking. I'm not trying to find out were you live) Basements have been used for a whole lot of different things in different areas. I no the basement I'm using in Northern California was actually made to flood with water(what a bitch). In this area the water table or aquafiers are relatively low, so in order to avoid water damage to the foundation of the house the builders made the basement into a flood room. Most people are in locations where that situation doesn't present a problem, but there are many other factors especially on older houses. So try and post some more info. about what your doing and I'll try to help you out.

If I were u, u should by the new grow bible. There is lots of pictures to explain what is written-its nice because it helps clear any ambiguity form what you read. On the quick note, u already have seeds germinating. Go buy some Beer cups ( U know, the red looking ones) and place some number 4 soil, or 40% peat moss and 60% perlite. Do not buy miracle grow shit; it is to hard on the seedlings. When your roots start to circle around the bass of your pot, transplant into 2 gallons or 3 gallons. Make sure your pH is at 6.4 and you let your water sit out for 48 hours.. Get a pH pen. If u do this, you will have success and still keeping shit simple!!! Oh. and your light- go buy a 600Watt HPS with the best bulb u can get- hopfully u can get the reflective bulbs.. ( reflector built inside the bulb) or buy 1000WHPS. Watch out for wireing; it wil either be 240 or 120 (depends were u live) u can Pivate msg me if u have concerns. It is always best to talk with a few people and make sure they are repeating the same shit over.... good luck.
