Bashir Resigns over Palin comments

That was just ridiculous. Age? Really? So are you claiming blacks are younger than everybody else? Or older?
I'm saying that young males are prone to get in trouble at a higher rate than the rest of the population. Throw in high unemployment numbers and it only adds to it.

Sure I will admit young black males in certain areas get into more trouble, but it is environment related, not due to skin color. Also when we have laws that aren't exactially rational it skews numbers. A kid from urban suburbia caught with coke might just get a slap on the wrist, while a kid from inner city caught with crack faces a much harsher punishment.

arguing that the crime rate in the black community is a result of Social Pressures is RACIST!

you must pretend the issue doesnt exist or is solely the result of racist cops, racist laws and racist racists being all racisty!

otherwise youre a racist.

you racist.

also. Racist.

he said "environment related", unlike you he did not try to blame black people themselves for self-creating and self-perpetuating the cycle of poverty out of thin air.

he did not posit that there is something mysterious and magical that happens when two or more blacks start associating like you do.

Pretty good satire of the typical response around here.

I never said it was due to skin color. You have to learn Buckhead is a liar. As you stated, it's a function of environment, but that includes culture, too. While poverty may have some influence, it doesn't explain how different groups with the same income levels have very different crime rates. So other factors must be considered. Only a fool would assume the color of one's skin affects thought processes.

Culture has some part, but lets face it a lot of the problem is our own making. We enact laws based on knee jerk emotion rather than common sense. Harsher punishment does nothing to address to real issues, that won't be fixed by throwing someone in a cell. In order to work laws must be applied blindly. It should even be more strict for those who enforce the rules.

I spent over half my life in law enforcement, I can honestly say our laws are anything but fair. A perfect example is here a kid dropped his rifle which shoot and killed his friend. He was charged with murder. The same thing happened to a firefighter, he only got public sympathy and support. It's just crazy.

The kid was probably not permitted to have the gun. So a death resulted during the commission of a crime, which makes it 1st degree murder. The two situations were different.

End the drug war and some of these problems will go away. Not all, but some.

what is it about "black culture" then that makes blacks "more inclined to criminality"?

i've hung out with black people before, for some reason i never felt suddenly more inclined to criminality.

please explain how melanin affects culture.

While poverty may have some influence, it doesn't explain how different groups with the same income levels have very different crime rates.
you should get to explaining why wealthy blacks are 10 times more likely to be targeted than similarly wealthy whites.

even if you are not permitted to have a gun (unless prior felony perhaps), dropping a weapon that results in accidental discharge seems more like manslaughter in florida..

From your article:

"That percentage is consistent with the overall NFL arrest numbers: Of the 687 total player arrests in the USA TODAY Sports database that spans 14 seasons, 607 involved black players — 88%, a disproportionate rate sociologists attribute to several social factors in the black population at large, including a disproportionate rate of poverty and single-parent backgrounds. Those factors also include profiling, civil rights experts and NFL players say."

88% to 12% among wealthy black men.

does that seem about right to you?

are black people just more inclined to criminality?
