Basic Information

There are some questions that I need answered, please.

Ok, so Ive decided to use CFL's as the choice of light for my first grow. But Im not sure as to what specs the lights should be at (5500k-6700k etc) and what wattage I should look for.

Also, I have been told to use Foxfarm Oceanforest soil(any new suggestions would be greatly appreciated).

Another question I have is what nutrients would you recommend?
Ive heard of using something called "bloom"?If anyone knows about this please reply with feedback please.

And the last question I have for you is that what else should I look into buying to make sure that my plants dont die or have any problems, or just any supplies needed that are essential to healthy and prime conditions for my plants.

Any advice or recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Read up on the first time growers guides dude. But You want 23 watt 6500K for veg, and 2700K for flowering. Im also using some cfls. Ur foxfarm sounds good. If i were you make sure u water on a patern. Example every other morning or what have you. I would snag a moisture meter. So u dont have to do any guess work. For nutes man dont worry about them till she is weak 3-4. And always start with 1/4 str and work your way up. Just remember ... its a weed right? it will tell you what it needs. Watch for over/under watering and nute burn. Make sure your temps are good. Keep a thermometer in there. Other then that man. Good luck. Cheers and happy growing!

nugglet is completly right you want 6500k for your veg. and 2700k for flower! hell the hps lights puts out around 2200 k to the best of my knowlege!
