Basic Question..

This is the first time I have ever grown. I have 78 seeds germinating and bout half are starting to pop after a day.
I have done a lot of research, but my question is this and though it is stupid, maybe very stupid but I have never planted anything before..
** I am growing outdoors and have a plot already set up that has dirt that isn't rich in acid. I know how to add all the nutes and have them so that isnt relative to my question...

I planned to do it like this but I am uncertain on what to do... Please follow along and guide me as I need your expertise!

1. Put germinated seeds in my pots which consists only of potting soil ( Or should I add the Potting Soil with the soil at my site for my seedlings? )
2. After a week or so when the true leaves form put into bigger pot with potting soil + ferts (rich in nitrogen) - I have Thrive All Purpose.
3. After 7-10 days, time for the plot.
4. Remove males as they become noticeable.
5. Add potash 4 weeks before harvest and remove dieing useless leaves.
6. Harvest when whites start turning brown.

You know the rest. :)

Basically, I am uncertain in the seedling stage if it is suggested to add potting soil with the soil I will eventually move to. Also if I should add fert with the potting soil when my babies get their first set of true leaves. Sorry if this is confusing Im so high I could highjack a fucking satellite, man.

  • Hi All ! im in New Zealand and its mid autumn and 2 of my plants has been flowering for 3 months! its been a crap summer , but good autumn , how ever getting cold at night (4 degrees), my question is how do i incress bud mass(size ) and why is it so leafy?photo 1 and 2 i harvested the top as trichs were cloudy/ amber , some clear. the rest in this photo are mostly still clear /cloudy. photo 3 and 4 also i am wondering what /when to cut.to me looking better than the other plant. I know to go by hairs and trichs but
things arent really changing , now i got leaf browning as well aaarrrgh.also winter is comming

1. So mix the Potting soil with my own soil for the seedling stage? I just don't want them to go into shock when I have to move them ... so I was unsure about this.
3. Lol yes sir... I don't have a million dollar house to store or pay to raise 78 plants....
4. Yes I know I know, but since its my first grow I figure the more I have and the more I fuck up means I can test out what I have learned researching and have some left for harvest!
5. Doesn't every parent worry about their babies? :(

I have 90 acres of my own land, ive dug out and fertilized several grow spots aswell. And I live out in bumfuck nowhere in the woods basically :P

i know i know, but itsdriving me mentle! dunno what to do? just leave em and take them in at night. im concernedabout the cold weather, lol
Unless its getting about 22 degrees fahrenheit at night you don't really have to worry about temps :) Might stunt growth anything below 40's Ive read...but hey

maybe you should look into constructing a cold frame that you can put over the babies at night. seedlings dont like the harshness of soil that is full of fertalizers
