Baywatcher's Basement Blowout

Spent all day working in the garage yesterday. Really want to do nothing today but chill and perhaps molest my wife.

Sigh. This shit isn't going to farm itself, off I go.

Its amazing how fast the time passes when your in the garden huh! I was down there last night, and my wife was with me. She asked me at one point what time I thought it was, I said 1030 and she laughed at me it was well past 12.

Looking real good excited to see how things turn out. I think my next run after this will probably end up being mainlining... what I do is already pretty close to it anyway so I wouldn't have to change much :)

Yeah, it wasn't a big change from how I try to scrog. I'm liking it so far, although I'm struggling to whip some asymmetrical plants into shape.

So, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, only about 3.5 hours. I moved three Critical Jacks and one Pineapple Express from 2-gallon pots into 7-gallon pots. I moved 8 seedlings out of red cups into 2-gallon pots, and took a dozen clones from various plants. The Third Dimension plant I abused is recovering nicely, and will be a 10-head it looks like.

Because of the extra weeks it took me to get my flowering chamber operational, the Hash Passion plants spent 6 weeks vegging in their 7-gallon pots, and are starting to show some deficiencies in flowering. Since they only have around four weeks left, I don't think there's enough time for top-dressing to do any good, so I picked up some organic Bio Bloom and will give them a good feeding next time I water. On the up side, they are *definitely* making flower nodes, so worries about landrace bud issues can be set aside...

The LSD plants are all looking good, but I'll keep a close eye on them, they were also in an extended veg (these are the last of the plants that were from the first round of seeds I generated). The final LSD (the one I turned into a 16-head instead of an 8) went into flowering this morning (2nd pic).

Here's the four that went into 7-gallons. All of these are 16-head.

The Fire OG and Headband are non-symmetrical little bitches who don't want to mainline at all. I'm kind of wrestling them into a spiral trellis that I'll just treat like a scrog.

For the first time, the veg tent is completely full. There are a couple more 2-gallons that are ready to go to 7, but they'll have to wait another week or two.

Indeed, looks great. Very nicely done. Thats quite the sight to look at. Id hang out in rayon and raybans and stare at that for hours :):):)

I try to go down there at least 3-4 times a day and hang out. It usually turns into either "do a small garden task" (training, watering a few plants, etc.) or "smoke a bowl and stare". If I can get the temp down 10 degrees with the minisplit, I can take a laptop down and work :)

This is starting to piss me off. Every time my hvac guy can come by and finish the minisplit, it starts raining. And it always waits until I've hauled all the 7-gallon plants halfway across the house into a dark room so he can work.

Mid-week update. About the only thing I've done is some spacing work on the 16-heads that will be going into flower (hopefully) this weekend. The flowering chamber was nice and chilly this morning. Anyone have suggestions on how cold it needs to be to bring out the purple?

The Hash Passion is starting to thicken up nicely. If the interwebz can be believed, today should be the halfway point for them. The LSD all seem happy.

Ok. I've had it at 68, and could probably keep it in the low 60s at least until the third light comes online this summer.

I dont know for sure bro, better get a second opinion. ;) I wouldnt want anything bad to happen from too low of temps.

i've seen purpling start at anywhere from 65-68 and i've kept a room with the temps consistently as low as 60 with no problems.. just don't have the air from the ac blowing directly on them

Got up this morning to a dark flowering chamber, apparently my 3-month old ballast died. It was on last night, so I have no clue how long it has been out. I replaced it with the new ballast I was going to use for a 2nd light starting Sunday. Hopefully I can get it fixed/swapped this afternoon.

I bought a replacement today from my local shop, and the guy said he could fix the bad one. So once it's repaired, I'll have a backup unit.
