Baywatcher's Basement Blowout

Everyone seems happy in their new homes, and I found a new home for the LSD clones (and will be getting cuts of Headband and Fire OG in return!).

Let me know how you like those support screens. I saw those for the first time a few months ago and it seems like a great idea.

To celebrate the arrival of my new 8-bag set of bubblebags + 5 gallon washing machine, I spent the evening making bubble.

The batch on the left was from 66% fresh frozen Headband and Fire OG trim, 33% dried White Widow/Blueberry cross. The batch on the right is from 2 runs (different trim each time) of the dry ww/bb.

90,45,and 73 look really blonde. It all looks sweet but those stood out. Microplaned to make it easier to smoke?

Yes, you can definitely see the plant material in the 160/120/25. I plan on cooking with the 160 & 25. I'll reserve judgement on the 120 until it has dried and cured a bit.

Uniform drying is the big advantage IMO -- that, and it's really easy to work with. Matt Rize's thread is the bible on ice wax.

I scraped what was left dried on silk into a mixed pile and sprinkled some on a bud. So good, I wanted another.

I forgot I was smoking it halfway through the second bowl. I saw a cat on the internet or something... it's strong.

+rep for sureeeeeee great pictures man. Helped me really see how to do the LST stuff just right. I love it. So all those branches are going to turn up and fatten out? or thats the idea?

That's the idea :) A couple of the HPs are questionable at the moment -- the strain as a whole seems to really hate hot soil, but #9 in particular has never been a very good plant. I'm just biding time until the clones show sex. I think the LSD plants are going to be pretty, though, they seem to be heavy feeders.

Just picked up some cuttings of Fire OG and Headband. That leaves me with space for probably one more strain in rotation, I'm thinking either Blue Hash, Blueberry or Blackberry.

It's Sunday here, which means bondage day (and not just because Mrs. Bay has been naughty!)

I started out by getting rid of HP #9. It looks like crap, and I don't want to waste a flowering spot on it.

Next, I moved three of the 2 gallon plants into 7 gallons. The first one is an LSD that I topped for 16 heads. The second is an LSD that I'm considering taking to 16, and the third is an HP I'm leaving at eight.

Then I spent some time tying up the last three LSD plants in 2 gallons. I could have moved them to 7g this week, but want to keep things spaced, so I'll let them go another week or two in 2g.

Last, I topped the Kaboom for the first time, and worked some more on training the Third Dimension. I really hope these are girls...

Mid-week update: All but 2 of the Pineapple Express and Critical Jack have now been topped. The 5 LSD clones that I put in red cups 2 weeks ago desperately need to be moved to 2 gallon, but I'm trying to stall them a bit more. And, while I had hoped to move the first three Hash Passion into 12/12 this weekend, I think they're going to need another week beyond that to be just below the trellis. Maybe the clones will have shown sex by then :(

All five of the red-cupped LSD clones finally won the battle of wills and got transplanted into 2 gallon pots today. The roots were pretty badly coiled, I broke them up really well before potting.

Sounds good, I'm sure they will really like the chance to stretch their legs. I need to get my Cindy 99 mom into a larger pot prolly of soil, and my WW mom really needs a bigger one too.

Productive morning in the basement lab. First, I put 5 Nirvana Blackberry seeds into a wet paper towel, set the proofer to 75 degrees, and stuck the towel in a baggie inside. I replaced both my (failing) 2-year-old cheap-ass LED panels with a brand new pair of cheap-ass LED panels for my cloning and sexing stations. They are really perfect for anything where you want the light close to the rez without heating it up too much, and clones don't seem to like crazy-bright light anyway in my experience.

Speaking of clones, I also broke down and completely cleaned out the rez on the EZ Clone 30. A lot of minerals had built up on the pump and the cord, so they got a good scrubbing as well. Fresh nute solution and it is back in action with its new light.

Nothing really pic-worthy, but a good morning's work.

Nothing like a little insomnia for productive gardening. Compost tea has been started, and some of the undergrowth on the HPs has been thinned. I had hoped to flip the first three HP on Sunday, but as you can see, they still have 3-4 inches to go before they hit the bottom of the trellis, so I'm thinking either mid-next week or for sure by the following weekend.
