The British Columbia Private Liquor Store association now has a Director for "Non-Medical Marijuana Retail"

So with the latest news and busts and today throne speech we can now see how they are connected. Wonder if the bust orders are coming at the provincial level or union/corporate level.

They can't run fast enough can they...it's so disgusting. Wonder who scored that job of nothing to do.
These non user need to jump off a tall cliff.
They wanted nothing to do with MJ until they see money.

IS THAT NOT THE ALMOST DISGUSTING ATTITUDE A HUMAN CAN HAVE
Bust you before.....Get giddy over your money now.

Anyone who can stomach them long enough to deal with them gets what they deserve imo.

People, people, people, CALM the f**k down. We won. It does not matter what stupid title people give them selves, it is simple, if you do not want to buy from them, DONT. Grow your own if you want to when you buy in the BM are you told how, when and where to buy? no you pick, so how is this different? Let them have their system, do you.

there was an interesting interview with the liquor guy Damien Whatshisface on pot TV yesterday ( http://live stream.com/pottvnetwork ) bout halfway through the latest show with Jeremiah and Barfy.

personally I'd rather see pharmacies sell weed than liquor stores, not that it would be ideal, just does not make sense to put weed and booze together.

Another perspective could be read here...if all the provincial liquor stores are going to be the "regulated" source....then like wine/beer, I should have the choice to produce my own.

If they're gonna be both sold in the same store, then it's gonna be very hard for the Gov to say you can do you own thing with alcohol @ home, but not grow your own bud.

Silver lining....??

the liquor guy actually brought that up, home weed grows are cool like home brews. they support mom and pop ops and want to sell artisan weed brands in their stores. they are so cool that they may hire a couple weed guys on their way to taking over the retail weed game.

Anything to make sure profits are protected. Sick people are expensive and unproductive. They need incentives to get well and get back to work, such as poverty. If they die, there's less of a health care tab.

Gregor loves tha weed

http://globalnews.ca/news/2375480/recreational-marijuana-should-be-sold-in-b-c-liquor-stores-bcgeu/

Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson said it is too early to say what the best method would be for selling medicinal or non-medicinal marijuana.

“Really, we don’t know what the federal government’s going to do, what their steps will be as they move to regulation and taxation of marijuana,” he said. “I think there’s going to be lots of models proposed and hopefully they’re looking at what models are working in other places. Washington and Colorado in the States have been the leaders on this in North America and there should be lessons to learn there.”

“It’s too early to say what should happen in the streets in Vancouver and across Canada.”
