UPDATE: DAY 14 FLOWERING

Hey Guys I have decided to only update every couple weeks one to not have a thick journal and two to see developments in a more severe extreme way.

Here is several pics of the girls at the start of day 14 so technically 13 days in. I have been in a battle against spidermites for quite awhile and they won't seem to leave permanantly. I have tried 3 different recommended sprays, I have bug bombed with pyrethrin foggers and even hand picked them. Another thing I will try as of tonight is shutting down the exhaust and just running the osc. fan to get the humidity up, they don't like that, just for one day maybe two.I have some hot shot no pest strips arriving very soon so hopefully that will keep them at bay. At least they still seem to be doing ok regardless, I guess I have kept the pests from flourishing to a certain degree. Wish me luck :bow: thanks for stopping by eh! :bigjoint: strains are ogkush x (?) and original skunk. Everything else is going great for this grow, food, temps, disease, ph, etc. just the bugs are eating them. Helping comments are welcome, please. Now for the pics;

Planting all my rooted clones today and beginning veg time for them and the seeds I ordered. Strains are northern lights, swiss cheese, original skunk and an OGkush x (?) next crop should be a real delight! can't wait. About 43-44 more days for the flowering room to finish then on with the new crop. Fuck I love perpetual growing!!!! :bigjoint:

Update Day 21 Flowering

Wasup guys its day 21 here and things are going...okay. I overfed them a little and they are recovering nicely. The mite problem is hopefully under control due to all my hot shot no pest strips coming in. I will be spraying with a miticide regardless, one last time. I don't think I'm far enough in to affect them with spraying, very close though. Another couple weeks and I will begin molasses and kool bloom feedings, I know it's boring at this stage but I'm a noob grower (2nd crop) and really like comments and feedback. Any questions?

This is my little skunk plant. I'm flowering it to see the quality as I have cloned it many times for my next crop

my veg room with freshly rooted clones. Strains are 45% skunk 45% ogkush X (?) 5% northern lights 5% swiss cheese

heres the bitches, trust me they are straight bitches...

Update Day 28 Flowering:

veg room right before it starts growing fast

Very nice pics, subbed! Those mites are a bitch! Do you have some sort of filter over your air intake? Once I did that, I have not had any issues with mites....knock on wood.

Good looking, even with your problems that you stated! Looking forward to seeing these finish.

For the mites, have you ever used Azamax? I used that, along with keeping a clean room, filter over my intake, and pyromecium bomb (however that is spelled) combo and it knocked them out. I also use CO2 since then, and they do not like that either, so no problems since.

Thanks for the post and the compliments! I have always cheese clothed my intakes ;) only way to go man, can't have all that airborn crap getting in. I forgot to ask are you in soil or soilless? I use HP promix soilless, love the stuff. For the mies I have used mostly everything but find the #1 defense/offense is HOT SHOT NO PEST STRIPS they saved me before and just saved me again, I swear by these things!! They kill the shit outta mites in all stages within 4-5 days usually quicker, never had a return with them either. Hang one or two in your room and I promise you'll be laughing, never another mite let alone ANY type of bug.

I took some pics of the rapid yellowing this evening. Fed them a double dose of nitrogen (floramicro) tonight, we'll have to see if this improves greenness and stops alot of the yellowing/gying leaves. It's an experiment as I have never tried this before. I aslo began kool bloom feedings tonight. They got a molasses feeding a few days ago. I will be updating my thread tomorrow night. Maybe they will start greening up already, who knows but i will make sure of some extra posts within the next few days to monitor the progress. Thanks for stopping by :bigjoint:

Yeah, i did some research and carefully concocted a special feeding for them last night with a heavier dose of N. Approx 24-25 days left on them so I wanna keep 'em lush(er) until the end. I'm also using 1 tbsp of molasses/gallon for my just watering applications, I'm thinking the additional N in that will help also. What do you think? I heard guys apply a foliar spray of molasses to combat yellowing/N deficiency during veg. Kool Bloom made it's way into my rez last night too :) time to fatten thes girls UP!! thanks for chiming in bro! Formal update tonight. Take 'er easy.

EVEN YELLOWER NOW:

Okay day 35 these plants are yellowing RAPIDLY!!! like real fast. I have decided a MASSIVE flush is in order and will take place tonight, with a final dump of 1 gallon of 1/8 strength veg nutes (ph'd) per plant to keep em fed with some extra N. I did some research and believe that alot of the issue is because of huge salt/nute buildup and fucked up PH so the flush will clean then right out, restoring the medium (hppromix) and the small veg feeding should help with bringing back some green. Sound good? I hope this works out well. Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks (remember this is only day 35 with that much yellow within 3 days)

Update On Veg Room:

I'm at the end of week 2 of veg now. I have been foliar spraying these vegging clones twice a week with a product called liquid light( for optimal light absorption) The clones are looking vigorous and healthy under the 475 watt MH and growing fast now, some are still a little small. Strains are Og Kush x (mystery strain) and original skunk. I also have 4 NL and 2 swiss cheese from seed(fem'd), they seem to be lagging, not sure what the problem is but I hope they take off soon...

~Updating flowering room (day 38 this evening with pics (in 8 hours) to check on improvements with the yellowing issues~

HERE ARE THE NORTHERN LIGHTS AND SWISS CHEESE SPROUTS...HMMMM

I haven't pruned/topped at all yet with these clones. I have approx. 21 days left of veg time. My footprint will be 8 x 3gal pots/1k. Any suggestions on topping them or should I just leave them to grow as big as possible anticipating flowering phase in 3 weeks?

sub'd .. but i would say you would want to do a nice topping on them sometime.. and it looks like you could do a nice stadium grow of some sorts in the room of yours.. sure to yield more .. but looking good hope your leaves turn green and buds get white

Hey Gilfman! I'm hoping for some results from the changes I've made to the flowering plants, should be seeing within a couple days. Yeah your right i should probably top them at least once in a week or so, I just don't wanna slow them at all 'cause they're going into the 12/12 chamber in about 21 days and obviously I want maximum bud production for their size/footprint. One reason I was thinking of opting against topping is that clones grow quite bushy regardless of topping/training as opposed to seedlings but all in all it may be better to top once... still not sure.

Thanks for commenting and please do explain a little more of this stadium setup I could potentially do. I have witnessed it before but need to know the specifics and details. Maybe if I built a set of " stairs " against each side wall and had smaller to bigger plants going down three levels? Hmmmm sounds like a fantastic way of optimizing space because I could still have most of my footprint remaining for 6-8 larger plants per 1000w. Thanks again for the tip man!! +REP to U SIR

ehh im not sure of the specs but i will try to find some links for you.. but thanks for the +rep man .. but the steps setup is the one ive seen ... but i know there are others

thanks man, ima work it all out. I'll have some tiered plants (stadium style) going on the grow after the next. I was thinking for each light having a small 2-3 step structure made from wood to hold an additional 6-10 little plants in 1 gal. pots, each'd be about 4 feet long and squeeze up tight to the wall. I have some careful planning to do. I like the idea alot

UPDATE DAY 38 FLOWERING:

After that huge flush I did 2 days ago plus the small feeding of veg nutes the girls have regained alot of :leaf:green:leaf: and seem to be happier. Man that was alot of water being that the pots are 7 gallon and I used more than 16 gallons of fresh water per plant. Well most are too heavy to hold themselves up anymore so it's time to stake them up with wooden stakes and twist ties. A few of them have anywhere from 6-9 main colas! Feedings will begin again when they dry up a bit. Big, low set girls, smelling sooo sweet these days in there. Can't wait for final harvest. Especially considering it's a mystery strain. Next update coming soon

Bc! Lookin frosty in there man. As for the problems just keep at it. Get sone tanglefoot and stakes coat the top three inches of the stake in tge tanglefoot and secure the plants to them. The mites will migrate to the top to float to the next plant and become trapped in the tanglefoot and dir. Wont anihalate yhem but that mixed in with everything couldnt hurt. That aside they dont even seem to notice man. Things are lookin top shelf. Keep at it :joint: add a spot of grow nut for about a week too. Gettin yellow a touch early imo :joint:
