BCN Diesel Hydroponic grow, 250Watt CFL Veg to 400Watt HPS Flower

Hello to everyone! And thank you for looking.

This is my first hydroponic grow, and also my first ever grow. I will be documenting along the way to not only help new growers like myself, but to share my grow with others and learn along the way.

Please feel free to post comments, criticisms or any other feedback you have at any point!

O.k. so Setup:
I am growing in a self built grow room ( my cupboard) that is 65x33x22 inches.
The method i am using is a hydroponic grow in an Oxy pot.
I am currently using a 250Watt CFL, blue spectrum for the veg stage and then will transfer to a 400Watt HPS for the Flowering stage. Currently on standard 18/6 just now and will switch to 12/12 when the time is right....

Using Ionic nutes, Hydro grow that came with the setup.

Start Up:
I am going to first start off by giving big respect to Roseman, whome i learned most of my knowledge from through his grow journals. I am not experienced and dont claim to be, all i know is what i am doing so far. So if you are a newbie looking for lots of info i would check out this grow journal

*O.k so to start my seeds off i ferminated them in moist paper towel for about 3-5 days unitll the shoots had sprouted and were about an inch long. I placed them into 1 inch rockwool cubes which had been soaking in PH 5 water for 24 hours.
*I then put the rockwool cubes into a mini propagator, making sure that they were sprayed reguarly with just a water bottle to keep it humid. I kept them in there for about 4 days untill the roots had come through the bottom of the rockwool cubs and the seed coats had fallen off.
* I prepared all of my equipmet by soaking it in PH5 tap water and rinsing my hydroton rock very thouroughly. I then soaked the hydroton rocks in 1/4 strnght nutrient for 24hrs. I filled my 18 litre Oxy pot with with about 15 litres for water adding 1/4 strength nutes. I placed my rockwool cubes with my seedlings into a net pot and surrounded with hydro rocks. I made sure that the water was just touching the bottom of the net pots and no more, ensuring the the rockwool was not completly submerged.
* The plants root systems are not yeh all the way through the net pots and are not yey drinkning alot of water. PH is regulated every day to between 5.6-5.8 . Temperature is pretty constant between about 19-22 Degrees. Humidity is kept between 60-70%
* At the moment i do not have a fan, or ventillation. This is coming soon

Woke up this morning and my second set of Fan Leaves had grown in Nicely. Happy days. My plant is looking nice and healthy and leaves are not so droopy as they were a couple of days ago. I think they were over watered. Here are some pics of them today, the leaves are looking more defined. I have named them bob and sue, only purely for covert talking.

They are exactly 11 days old from seed. They are currently on ¼ strength nutes and tomorrow I am going to up them to ½ strength. If they deal with that o.k I will give them full strength nutes on Monday as they will be two weeks old. Only time will tell.

Sorry about the pics, they are not the greatest quality, taking a decent picture with so much reflective surface and light is quite hard.

Hey all, Its pretty quiet on the journal so far but i seem to have quite a few views, so am gonna keep posting in the hope that a few of you are genuinly interested or learning from what i am doing.

o.k so they bab y plants are now 14 days old and have taken a little sprout. They got another dose of quarter strength nutes on shot up a good bit in 1 day. Today was there first res change. I Fully drained and replenished and added 3/4 strength nutes. I have read from alot of new growers that less is more so i want to see how they handle it before i give them a big Mac..
This is my first grow, i am still learning and my setup is basic but i am way....... majorly jealous of the growth that some guys are getting from those waterfarms, whish i had known about them before i invested in this oxy pot.

How did these BCN's turn out man?
