Run a long line of fence wire up high between trees then anchor the branches to that with garden twine. You will have to do this because when it rains heavy they will sag to the ground ,snap etc and will be laying in the mud when you get out there. also you could use stakes or use cages from the beginning.

I've ran a few outside,I'm from UK so it's pretty pointless but the times I have done never topped and never had to it should near enough level it's self out all by itself,I normally have around 15 main heads

I top all of my plants but I grow with stakes and cages. I find that I get a lot more weight out of the topped plants.

more tops = more bud but you need time to recover before flower. stakes and cages and whatever you need to support as big of a plant as you can get, of course big means more tops not more stem. I top mine several times starting at the 3rd node. you have too many tops to know what to do with.... horrible problem to have

U should you do it like we locals do it here. we plant the bugga's in between two trees (elm, pine, etc.), secure the tree with vinyl ties and watch them grow! as for the nugs, dangling, we just use bamboo sticks to hold 'em up. Happy puffing! bongsmilie
