Well I meant to put this up yesterday but I got stoned instead. (but I got high...)
Since last week both strains have been turning purple which is nice. Idk, other than that not much going on. The Northern Light Blue Looks like it will be ready in a week or so (day 70-73), but the WWxBB looks like it might take another 14-21 days. It's crazy. Luckily the SSH I'm trying to save should go into flower early unless you want 10' plants, so I can throw them in the closet together. So, yeah, here's the pics.

Hey Beanz,

Everything looks sweet except i see that your plants are paling, i know you're near harvest so are you flushing or something? You know it causes stress at a crucial time right?

To flush or not to flush, hmm well lets see ive tryed not flushing and it even after curing tasted like shit and after
A good flush/cured it was something to brag about! So my vote is to flush

Everything except for the closet had gone to hell. And now I'm running out of fertilizer with no way to replace it and the plants look like they'll need another two weeks at least. At this point I'm just trying to make it to the end, but if you can think of some cheap solutions I'm all ears, but truth is I would flush anyways. I'm og the position that flushing is important.

I heard some ppl say that it's the opposite. The they've done blind tests and smokers couldn't tell the difference. Even if I beleived that was true, flushing I think still get's rid of some of the other nutrients chemicals the plant draws from the soil like idk, copper, iron, chlorine. Don't quote me on that.

sorry but i do NOT!! believe in flushing (un less its making it rain or trying to fix an over feeding issue). when a plant takes in nutes they are all used some become carbs others help in mitosis and to aid in creation of ATP ( running the plants motablism ) ,,. the whole theory is just off,. its like saying lets starve
the cow for 1 month before we eat it 0.o WTF?? what ever your afraid of smoking is already there as long as the plant is alive

Yup. That's the argument.
But if you don't flush, you get fireworks. Popping, crackling weed that doesn't light well or burn right imwo (in my worthless opinion).

beanz, you know very well your opinion is not worthless, i also know that you guys are vets and "i am newb"( << pun intended) but i have been smoking a while and been around a lot of grows, and the only thing i have known to make bad burning buds is bad drying/ curing, as for the flushing (leaching) i think some of us have to agree to disagree cuz the science is just lost on me :(

Hey Beanz

What i will ask is whether you have done a test to see whether you HATE the "unflushed" bud?

I personally have done a test and have to agree with MUGAN on this one.

The only way to be sure is to try it and see for yourself. If you still prefer "FLUSHED" plants then so be it but at least you will know for sure.

Just thought i would say that i have done an update on my thread

Also thought i would show off one of my BUDS its day 36 of 12/12.

I'm a newb bro. The only thing I've been doing a long time is smoking. It's a delicate subject. Lots of passionate views on both sides. Well just have to agree to disagree. ;)

Nah I haven't, but to me it's one of those things that's so easy that it would be strange NOT to do it. Plus I really beleive that not flushing affect the characteristics of the smoke. Unflushed bud doesn't burn right imwo, but you're right, it probab;y doesn't matter to much in terms of the high, which is really all that matters to me.

Dont get me wrong, i do cut back on nute strength in the last few weeks. When i was in coco i would reduce from 1.6EC down to around 1.0EC

Now that i am using hydro i plan on dropping from my current 1.4 down to around 0.8 but thats as far as i will go. when i checked on the CANNA website to get a feeding schedule it recommends dropping down in EC for the last 2weeks before harvest, It doesnt mention flushing at ALL.

From what i have read and experienced "FLUSHING" is only really required if you have been over feeding your plants. If you keep them on the borderline of just getting enough of what they need then there will not be any "STORED" nutrients in the plant.

Could be.
Honestly bro I don't know any of the science behind it. All I really know is that the growers I consider my mentors all flush and they are dispensary owners, and old commercial growers. I know that sounds like I only do it because so-and-so does it, but it's not just that. It's the way I learned, and besides, even my buds come out smooth burning, no metallic taste, and clean white ashes. Maybe it would do the same if I didn't flush, but if it ain't broke and all that.

I like clean smoke and flushing = clean plus it saves you on nutes to.
Yes it does save on nutes, but you are in effect starving your plant and causing it to "eat" itself as lower growth will die off to give priority to top growth.

The only noticeable difference in smoking that i found is pre-curing, after a good cure everything is fine.
