Before harvest 8/16 light-dark ???

hi ,i am in the 50 days of flowering white widow,before harvest i must put the plants 8/16 light-dark for 2 weeks ??? now i have 12/12 light.

never heard of your 8/16 method for when a plant is done but you put them into dark for 48hours then harvest the bud but i also hear that that does nothing at all for the plant just comfort reasons i guess

I have heard of people putting plants into darkness for a day or two before harvest, but this is the first time I have heard of changing to 8/16. I don't do either.

so what should i do ??

Skip the 6 hr of light, let them sit in the dark for a couple of days.

I've always felt that it helps before cutting.
