beginner grow.. a few questions :(

since buying weed here is a super expensive and risky.. i've decided to just grow my own. i've never grown marijuana before.. i basically i have two seeds and i was wondering about how much can i grow with two seeds?? i'm growing not to sell, just personal enjoyment

also, with just two seeds, about how much lighting will i need?? i'm currently living in a very small one room. so i can't have a too big of a setup going inside.

sorry for my ignorance on this topic any advise and suggestions willl be appreciated. THANKS!!

wow u have a long way to go and a lot to learn lol, my advice is research non stop, ask as many questions like u just did. u need to germinate your seeds and not plant them untill germinated, dont no if u knew that. the rule of thumb is 100watt per plant, so if you got 1 seeds, go get yourself 2 100watt (actual) CFLs.

and sorry i meant if you got 2 seeds get 2 CFLs.

Download Jorge Cervantes ultimate grow, you will learn everything you need. Or better yet give the guy some more cash and buy the dvd or book lol

thank you for your input yes, i knew about germinating the seeds before planting them. but its after that that gets me stuck.

read all the stickies in general MJ growing, and room setup, and lights, and water(most important). If you dont know the source strain of your seeds you should maybe invest in some more. Although good luck with those two and I hope you are lucky in your growing

but with two seeds, about how much grams will i be able to get from that??

yeah like gaztron said just research some more, to give u a briefing its pretty straight foward, once germinated plant the seeds in some soil obviously with the root pointing down, put your light on either 24/7 or 18/6 and wait for it to sprout. no nutes untill sprouted and even then like i said biobizz root juice organic only ! (or an alternative)

couldnt tell you what u would get from that, could be an ounce could be more depends on your set-up, your nutes, your strain, your lights and schedule etc.

Your yields will depend heavily on a number of factors, such as genetics and growing conditions. Could be anything between 5 grams and 500...depends a lot on how long you let your plant grow before flowering it (by changing the lighting schedule to 12/12).

I hold off for a little longer with just PH'd water. Everyone has their own way of doing things, it what works for you. Im only posting this incase you freak out about not having nutes at the min.. It is a weed it WILL survive, If you give it optimum conditions it will THRIVE,, happy growing

I'm in my first grow but patience seems to be key. I'm following the KISS (keep it simple stupid) rule and not using any advanced techniques for my first grow. So, although it would probably suit my space better, no SCROGing, no LST, no topping, etc for my first time. I'm not using any nutes either except Liquid Karma as directed on the bottle. I am however using the Subcool Super Soil recipe. I figure if I keep it as simple as possible there is less room for error on my part. I literally haven't done anything but water them and they are doing great so far. From my research online, the #1 mistake noobs make seems to be messing with their plants too much. Just leave them alone, give them water and let them grow if you're a noob, KISS FTW IMO ACRONYM

Light = more the better
Room to grow = more the better
Ventilation (if not using sealed system which i doubt you are) = more the better
Water = only as needed. Tiny amounts at first, like 2 ounces of water a day for the first couple weeks then ramp up.
Nutes = not touching this one

So if you can squeeze a cabinet in your room, let's say, 2 feet wide by 2 feet deep by 4 or 5 feet tall, you could grow a couple plants in it and probably pull an ounce or more off of each if done right. You'd want about 250 watts of light in there and a good exhaust fan to suck out the heat. I use a passive intake which is just a hole at the bottom of the cabinet that fresh air will be pulled in through.

oh, and if you can, get some good soil (Roots Organic, Fox Farms, etc) not Miracle Grow from WallyMart (although in a pinch it would work, try for organic recipe or African Violet recipe i think it is, if you Have to use MG)
