Beginner Help

my box will bw 4ft high and 2ft depth. 6" up top will be seperated and used for housing lights, electrical, exhaust etc..

Its for personel use, at most ill have 2 plants.

I need help finding a CO2 source for cheap. i was thinking about getting a paintball gun C02 canister with a guage and a valve i can open a little at a time and measure it with a meter to get it where i want.

opinions?

also, exhaust. smell is a huge factor. and so is noise. i found a 70cfm bathroom exhaust fan, didnt see the Db rating.. what do ya'll use? i cant tap into the ventilation or the roof.

last thing for now, when it come to lights, what should conern me more, Watts or lumens?

ive read some books so for the most part im educated but need to fill in the details for my specific conditions. any help will be much appreciated.

doing a similar grow, not sure bout CO2, but i try to give as mush as CO2 I can by exhaling now then LOL, what can I do? Just one..
Regarding the smell I just use a deskfan placed with neutradol on the air out-take and deskfans make less noise...
Lights I would say Lumen play a bigger role than watts as watts is essential for the heat and lumens for the light and its spectrums. Higher the watt more the heat and in some cases lights with less lumens give more heat, there is a ratio regarding that.
But in your case I'm talking about CFL's if going stealth specially with a small grow.

Yeah im using 2 120mm computer fans for intake. i built my pc w/ them and i got 7 in total , that plus 850w power supply it runs quiet for whats in it.
i just want the exhaust to work flawlessly. i also found an active carbon filter for $200 w/ life span of 18-24 months.
im prob gunna run 300-400watt CFL's and measure the lumens. im lining the walls ( painted white ) with reflective.
I was gunna go HID for flowering thats why i was asking. ill just have to balance everything on my own. ( but senior growers pls add input)

also you wanna check lowes. they have an adjustable warm mist humidifier for $35. it can run 24hrs on full capacity. for humidty control and you can add nutrients into water.

keep me posted on how your garden goes and ill do likewise. sence we are both starting out we can trade notes.

Yea good, a bit of homework here and there helps in the long run, what strain you planning on growing and are those autos??

Og kush to start. its a really good strain for me for my severe anxiety and pains. bad genes from parents and and time served overseas. i want to get good at growing..actually...great at growing then grow blue dream. its my all time favortie! what are you growing?

Well me growing Blue Himalaya, heard they stay short so thats the main reason and potency compared to the size is great apparently, must judge it for myself, but my all time favourite (for now) would be AK-47, theres something special about it...

What you doing for vent and exhaust??

right now im set on 2x120mm pc fans that push 70cfm each. i have 7 + 850W ps in my pc and peak decibles are around 45. guoing to run both duct lines into each other and then into an avtive carbon filter ($200) and then into my wall. cant go to roof bc maintence guy goes up there sometimes so w combiniation of filter and the wall i should be good. to save the life of the filter (18-24months) i wont put it on until i start flowering process. comments, suggestions?
